    Urine tests-dog food recall

Just got off the phone with a vet friend of mine.  This has to do with the pet food recall so I put it here so everyone would see.
Make sure with the kitties you get a UA done too.  She told me that a kitty came in with normal blood work but the UA showed wagon wheel crystals and that is real bad when they see that.
Just wanted you all to know......do both if you can.

Would this apply to dogs to?  What are 'wagon wheel' crystals?

You know what?  I'm not sure but I sure the heck would do both no matter what.  As you can see in my other post, Daisey's blood work came back with high creatine levels so when I take her back for more tests we are going to redo the blood work and do a UA.

There are some very specific crystals associated with melamine in the diet. I tried to find some photos, but couldn't. They look like a sunflower to me... green with a circle in the center and "petals" around it.
