Oooof.  Killed myself yesterday so I could take today off...and I'm baking bread.  Sigh.  It's a sickness.  3 loaves of regular, 3 loaves of raisin, 4 loaves bananna nut....... Geeze, what is WRONG with me.  I was so looking forward to a lazy day!

    Re: Mindless chat sat

another beautiful day here but I am on nurse duty for Bugsy 24/7.  I am a nervous wreck, first I noticed that his bandage had blood on it which it didnt' yesterday, then I noticed more ack so it is still oozing.  Called my vet who said if it isn't gushing it isn't a problem. OK then.

Next he won't pee.  He is really fussy about where he goes and he just won't go.  So I just took him out and was he** bent on getting him to pee and he wound up wandering the yard - a total of 165 yards - and then decided to lift his good leg to pee. So I grab underneath to support him - do you think he stopped - nah.  So glad no one was out to see me holding him up so he could lift and pee.  But hey he peed.  Second time since Thursday morning Surprise

He is drinking and I am drowning his food so I don't think he is dehydrated.

DH said the funeral went fine but the weather was appalling.  He and his sister are having some issues which is such a shame. He has seen the grandkids so that is nice.

Oh and my teeny little niece was top 25 in the states out of 300+ runners.  Truly amazing for a kid that just started running, weighs 70lbs soaking wet, and a freshman.  We are all very proud!

They did absolutely every single inch of everything and a one story, 3 bed/2 bath was $85.00.

Geez, for $85.00 I'd be tempted to have them come every other month !

I actually should really check into the prices around here.  It just isn't worth my waste of time, FH and I have little time together do actually do things, it would be nice to spend the weekends doing something fun.  A lot of time we have so much to do, we just sit around procrastinating and not doing anything.

"Conversation rules the nation!"  Those are the words of the day!

There was a large adoption event today.  Bevo hung out with the ladies at Dobe rescue for a meet & greet, while I took Lola out to check everything out.  We wandered from booth to booth, chatted with people, & by the time that we were ready to leave, her rescue group had 7 applications put in for her!!!

She did great, & all that I had to do to get interest was to talk to people. The group's director is going to handle letting the people meet her again in a calmer enviroment.  If they are still interested after getting to know her, then I'll meet them to make the final decision.  I'm so excited.

Cathy, our dogs are monsters after we leave them with someone else. They usually push limits for the first week back.

Stacey, it sounds like your FH's "friend" is a real piece of work.

I use a housekeeper. I was hiring individuals, but they haven't worked out so well. (deportation, husband was relocated, & a personality conflict) This time, I am using an agency. They charge $85 to clean a two story, 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath house. They come every other week, & it is well worth the money!

Why do people have to pick the day I'm horribly ill to all want to come see Aspen?? I now have three families lined up waiting to see Aspen, and I don't even know if I can do meet and greets tomorrow because I am doing well to walk to the fridge and back without wheezing and gagging. But I have to try, he really needs to find a new home!

I really wish this infection would begin to peak so that I can start to get better....it's starting to really run me down with the lack of sleep, and, well, breathing. Coughing to the point you are almost physically ill is not my idea of a great time. But I'm toughing it out hoping the doc is right when she said it is not H1N1....if it is not better by Monday though I have to go back in.

I went to a Renaissance Festival today, and I had sooo much fun.  The food was great, the acts were funny, and the crafts were beautiful.  There was a guy there with fantastic carved wooden dragons.  I got one of the smaller ones, and I LOVE it.  I'm so saving up for another.

I rode an elephant (named Judy, 40 yrs old).  I met some greyhounds.  Lovely, lovely, particulary the brindle one.  Just a blast.  :-D

Sending healing vibes to Bugsy.  Kim, I hope Aspen finds a super awesome forever home!

Yes, you really must. Regardless of whether it's H1N1 or not, it sounds like you might need some more meds or antibiotics. I hope you feel better soon.

I had a wonderful nap and then did a little shopping and came home and washed my car. It's been a very productive day and I'm now ready to relax and enjoy the evening. I love the sunset at this time of year. I wish it wasn't so early but it really seems so beautiful on a sunny day.

We went out to eat to celebrate DH's success with his computer certification testing earlier this week.  Good food and some good frozen margaritas. :)

I haven't accomplished all I wanted today as far as cleaning and laundry because it was too pretty to spend indoors all day.  I could do some housecleaning now but I'm too full and relaxed from dinner.

I hope those of you who are sick feel better tomorrow.

Belle, has discovered that she can reach the stash of stuffy toys on top of my dresser by standing on her back legs.  She doesn't see the point in saving them for a rainy day.  Luckily none of my dogs eat stuffies they just destroy.  I'll have to start putting them completely out of reach.

Bugs, you'll get the hang of peeing with your boo boo leg.  Thinking of you and your DH Karen.  I'm glad the funeral went well, despite the crummy weather and the difficult sister.  Family can be very tough even in the best of times.

I've got some sunburn, but the worst is my lips.  I look like I put on bright pink lipstick.  Ugh.

Where did the day go?! I finally got moving around 2. Took the dogs to the old golf course then met a friend and her dogs at at baseball field that is closed up for the winter. I got my errands done and did some cleaning. So why do I feel like I totally missed the day?

Tomorrow I have to get up early and lay a track for a bloodhound then we have training and a demo for a girl scout troop. Should be a nice day. 60s and sunshine. Great weather to be outside on a sunday.
