    .stacer.:
For the record, Sloan is incredibly HOT. I'm with Amanda. Carev, not my type -

    I completely agree!!

I am very happy it's Friday. I didn't sleep well last night and can tell it's going to be a long day. DH is working today and tomorrow, so I should get caught up on sleep and other stuff. I thought we had next Wed. off for Veteran's Day but found out we're off on Monday. That was a very nice surprise.

I forgot to bring anything for lunch, so I'm going to have to either eat some soup I have here or stop and get some fast food. Right now the soup sounds disgusting but maybe that'll change later.

Barbara, decongestants are part of crystal meth, so you can only buy 3 packets from one store at a time, and here you have to go to the pharmacy to ask for it, even though it is OTC.  And like you, we have to give our name & address.

Paige, I totally relate to the embarrassment of running into someone coming out of the can.  Our office is small and the women's room is in the hall right across from the boss's office.  People are forever standing in his doorway to talk to him and I've been "greeted" a few times coming out of the b-room.  Good grief, that darn fan isn't loud enough and doesn't work quite well enough!  LOL.

Good job on your friend's handwashing, though.  That is important to notice!

Such a horrible act.  Please don't flame me for my initial (racial) thought when I heard the shooter's name.  I know its wrong....but I just  couldn't help but think "planted terrorist."   I'm sure that is WAY off base and I feel terrible for even thinking that right off the bat.  But I did.  Embarrassed

    It wasn't just you, Barbara.

    Stephanie, congrats on the closing!

Lauren, I'm glad that you are feeling better today.

    Paige, hygiene is important!

Cathy, tacos from Jack in the Box sound great!

I donated blood this morning.  Work has had a blood drive plannned for a few weeks, the fact that it was scheduled for today was just coincidental.

Now, in order to make Deb proud, I am sitting in my office sipping on orange juice & vodka.  I should be a cheap drunk today!

No spit.  Me too.  Working with Amanda that is!

If I can just get through tomorrow.....between work, volunteering at the Museum, dealing with TWO men with sore backs....well, I'm just about ready for a vacation.

This is the ABSOLUTE LAST CALL for Secret Santa.  As soon as I can squeeze out a spare hour or so, I'm going to start making assignments, so if you still want in, do it TODAY!

Off to the lovely laundramat with 4 loads of laundry that the dryer didn't.....sigh.

does anyone know if tamiflu pills interact bad with green tea and ginseng?

I told my mother i was drinking cold green tea (the arizona brand) and she said she heard something on the tv sometime that it was bad?  my mother sometimes (most times) gets things mixed up, stretched, twisted, etc., so i'm wondering if anyone knows?

ugh - that sucks.  Our dryer won't fit in the area it's supposed to (we'd need a ladder to get to the controls, anyway, if we could jam it under the door opening.)  Most things dry ok on the rack, but towels are just... prickly.  Those make the trip across the street to the laundromat.  I hate being without a dryer.  This particular laundromat is owned by a Korean man, but he caters to his clients with posters of Prince, Michael Jackson, and the Gap Band on the wall... it always makes me laugh.

Working with herbs yesterday, I think fennel is my new fav... smells like licorice. Yes  (and, yes, I can *feel* the comments about others' favorite "herbs".....Confused)

    Nah, that's too easy!

I'm a mint junkie.  I love the smell & taste.  I mix it in my water all the time.

I would be extremely surprised if there would be a problem drinking green tea with tamiflu.  Ginseng on the other hand, makes me jittery anyway...so I suppose could be potential issues.  Call the pharmacy to ask...

Good thoughts for those in the building, and those worrying about the people in the building.

What comes to mind, once everyone is accounted for, is that this just fuels the fire for those who want to push anti-gun laws, which I think is misguided...  argh.

Callie called me and she's OK -- a friend of BF and me works downtown as well, he doesn't work at that building but he hasn't answered my text. I hope the Orlando Police Dept and OCSO can find the shooter and arrest him safely.
