I'm slowly building the courage to ask the guy at work if he wants to go to the Broncos game with me on Monday.

Go for it!! He'd be darn lucky to have the opportunity to spend the day with you and see the Broncos and Steelers...well, the Broncos at least :).

I almost wish that I had even a crummy coworker here in the office. Maybe a little bit of work would've been handled while I was out. It'll take me the rest of the week just to get caught up. My boss called 1st thing this morning and I could tell he was happy I was back in the office. He admitted that he hadn't been in much while I was gone. I could've guessed as much from the pile of mail on my desk. Tongue Tied

    l.michelle, FEEL BETTER!

Georgie, it was you that posted about not being able to get a full-time teaching job, right? It's the same way here with special ed teachers, along with math and science teachers - they are DESPERATE - but I don't want to teach any of those three! I just want to teach kindergarden!

Griffinej5, I hope you get your paperwork straight. Sounds like a mess, LOL.

I need to call the owner of the pit bull that attacked Pirate - the letters I sent to him came back undeliverable. I drove by the house that the address had listed on the police report as his, and it's 'for rent'. Great. I called the realtor that's renting it and we had a nice chat, and she was able to give me some information. I'm channeling my inner Amanda and I'm going to verbally kick this guy's butt until he gives me what he owes me. But if you all could spare me a big brave iDog vibe? I'm big and brave, Big and Brave...

    Re: Hump Day Musings

I wrote back to tell the person it was the higher up who didn't do his job. Apparently this is somehow still my fault. It's my job to inform them that he didn't do it or something. Umm.. since when. It's their job to make sure they have those things, or they can deal with the state about not doing it when they get audited. This guy is supposed to be coming out to see me. I have been on this case for 7 or 8 weeks now, and he was never come out once. I don't need him to tell me how to do it, I know that. Honestly, as the person on another case said to me, I could probably write the plan myself. I would too, if I got paid for it.

    Lauren, get well soon!

Meg, GIVE HIM HELL!!!!!  Sending BIG & BRAVE vibes!

Paige, good luck asking the coworker!

I took Bev & Lo for a short hike.  Bev was a goober, because he's always a goober.  Lo did so much better than I had hoped or expected!  She was, for the most part, confident & inquisitive of her new surroundings.  They both enjoyed themselves.  Currently, Lo is sleeping soundly, & Bev is acting, at least a little, less jackass-ish.

We had a funny incident on the drive home.  I cut through a 'questionable' neighborhood when I go to this particular hiking trail.  It cuts about 3 miles off of my drive, so it's worth it to me.  Today, I was sitting at a stop sign waiting for my turn to go when I look over to see a guy sitting on his front steps with no pants on.  He was wearing a wife beater t-shirt & nothing else.  I was going to call the cops but decided against it.  It wasn't cold outside, & the poor guy had very little going on, if you catch my drift.  It was painfully obvious that he had enough problems without calling the cops.

Photobucket is loading incredibly slow today.

Meg:  3 words - small claims court.  If he doesn't show up, a judgement will be filed against him automatically.

Paige, Agnes is doing better.  See her new heartworm thread under Health, Diseases & Conditions.  Yes, ask that co-worker out!

    Hi Cathy!

Our state sales tax audit came back.  Let's just say it's good my truck is paid off.  I'll have somewhere to live when they fire me and I lose my house. Sad

Go get'm Meg!  Sending lots of 'BIG and BRAVE' vibes.

The piercing shop I go to is having their B-day sale this Friday.  I called and have an appointment to get 3 micro-dermals added to my tattoo.  They're gonna go were the little claw marks are.  I think it will be cute, I'll post pics.

The walk through is tomorrow evening and then closing on Friday (before the piercing)

Next Friday my step-mom is having a 'slumber party' I'll have to see if they have any feathered costumes Devil

Oh yea, and I'm hungry....and clearly very mindless today.

It costs $175.00 to file in small claims court, though. I mean, I'll do it, if I have to...don't mess with Mama Bear! 'Specially when you owe her $1033.02! Raaah!

Actually, I called, and I was shaking like a leaf. I'm not good with confrontation - even voicemail confrontation. I left a message but I doubt the stupid head will call me back, so I'll probably need to come up with $175 on Monday and head down to the courthouse and file. Blah.

I want Paige to ask that guy out too! Go for it, Paige! You can have my big and brave vibes since I blew it.

Holy crap!  It's like $50 here.  The good news is that if you win, he also has to pay your filing fee.  Still cheaper than a lawyer.

Hey, maybe you could make it on Judge Judy. That'd be very cool and she'd be so on your side, especially if you could bring Pirate with you.

What a freaking frustrating morning. Mail was returned here while I was gone and there was no reason it should've been. I used the same labels for the locations that I've used for years but suddenly it's "undeliverable as addressed"??? Then I got a huge pkg from Pitney Bowes. They were just supposed to send me a new scale for our meter but they sent me a whole new meter. I called and spent about 30 min's with customer service while they tried to figure out why and what to do about it. I almost screamed "I just want to send it back. Is that sooooo complicated?"...but I didn't. Super Angry

Frustration makes for a very good workout though, so I'm better now and hoping the rest of the afternoon goes more smoothly.

I *might* be reading the website wrong. I may be pretty, but sometimes I'm not the brightest girl, LOL. Either way, I have Monday off, so I'll give him until then to call back and then go see if it's worth it to file.

I don't want to go to schooooooool toniiiiiiiiight. It's the worst class ever, the guy's completely off topic 75% of the time. Mostly I play on FB with my phone. I can't log into iDog with my phone, for some reason, or else I would really never pay attention.

LOL, my luck, Pirate would mark her robes. But Judge Judy is an idea...is she even in FL?

Fingers crossed that goes off as planned!

Steph, pm me for where/when it's appropriate to wear feathers and where pj's are the best choice. LOL

Tina, if those idiots fire you, pack up Agnes and the cats and come to Texas.

LOL, Jackie, I may be naive sometimes, but I'm pretty sure I've got that one figured out Wink

Slumber Parties is the company name, its like a Pampered Chef party, but the things you buy would be for a different kind of 'cooking'
