    Gift Ideas

Okay, I know it's a little early... but I am already trying to decide what I am getting everyone for Christmas. I am having trouble coming up with a gift for my best friend's family. I prefer to get them a "family" gift rather than individual gifts because it's easier (I would have no idea at all what to get her husband and her kids don't like toys,so it makes it difficult) and hopefully less expensive. Last year I got them a gift card to the Picture People to get family portraits done, previously I have gotten them a Blockbuster gift card, popcorn, candy..etc.. for a family movie night. My friends are in their low thirties and their kids are 10 and 4. Any suggestions are very appreciated!!!

I like the idea of gift baskets.  You could do one with pasta, sauce and a bottle of wine or one with meats, cheeses, crackers & candy.  I think putting them together yourself is probably a lot less expensive than buying them already finished.

What about a month long family membership to a local pool, preferably one with a waterslide.Smile  That would make everyone in my family happy.

I really like the family portrait idea.  I might have to use that one.

That's so nice.  How about some family friendly board games and a giftcard for pizza to be delivered?  For a family fun night?

Is there a restaurant they like? Maybe a gift card there?

I have sent stuff from the popcorn factory before and that always goes over big:  http://www.thepopcornfactory.com/

What about tickets to a local amusement park for when it gets nice out again?  Or maybe an indoor water park?

Do you have a local Chuck E Cheese or something similar?  It would be more fun for the kids, but the parents would probably have a good time too:  http://www.chuckecheese.com/
