    Mindless chat TGIF

Today is my son's 21st birthday.  He is now exactly half my age, but only has 1/4 of my wisdom.  Stick out tongue

    Must work now.

Haha, grats to your son! I hope he's doing better.

I'm driving to visit a former professor today to beg for a letter of rec in person. I told him I was "planning to visit a friend up there anyway." Yeah, bunch of hooey - I'm driving up because 1) I'm desperate for a letter, 2) he totally sucks at returning calls/emails, and 3) I want to make sure he remembers me.

I'm really hoping the snow and sleet are past! Yesterday was pretty gross, and this is my first winter in a FWD (as opposed to AWD) car... going to get snow tires, but not quite yet...

We are in the middle of a nor'easter.  Some parts of Jersey even got snow instead of rain.  Mr. W is whining because he has a stomach virus and Jamison is bouncing off the walls because he won't go outside in the rain.  I see a hot, bubbly extra cheese pizza and about a half a dozen (give or take) Corona lights in my future tonight !!

Dang global warming. Stick out tongue

I can't believe all the places getting snow already.  I thought it was chilly here yesterday...the high was in the low 60s.  I turned my heat on last night, lol!!

BF is out of town this weekend, in LA visiting his best friend.  So it's just me and the fuzzy boys this weekend. I plan to do a thorough cleaning of my house this weekend.  It needs it, badly.

ugh I have been pretending that I am not getting sick, blaming allergies despite it being out of my worst season and freezing cold.  Well I haven't fooled the germs because I feel horrible.

Bugsy on the other hand seems to be feeling VERY well, Hmm  I see much crate time in his day today.

Tina many more happy birthdays for your son.

OK despite just wanting to curl up in bed I must write an important document this morning...................sigh

Put us in the group that has snow. Crying My car is dusted and it's still on the trees, but hopefully melting.

At the rate we are going, we will have a total of four months in 2009 when snow did not fall.

The Aussies are already going nuts on crate rest following their spay surgeries. They do, however, look adorable in their little get-ups (blow-up collars and shirts), so I'll have to post pictures later.

    Did you have any doubt???

Two of my employees who were drunk at happy hour have called in today.  One of them is going to miss a deadline because of it.  Any guesses what our Monday morning staff meeting is going to cover?

The kids are going to grandma's tonight, & DH is going camping for the weekend with "the boys."  They invited me to tag along.  For some reason beer, hot dogs, farting, & peeing for distance contests don't really sound appealing, so I graciously declined.

    TGIF everyone.

One more LONG day at work today. I took a half day on Wed to take Teddi and I had to make it up yesterday and today. Hard because I just don't feel like being here.

Karen, I have not been around too much lately. What was the diagnosis on the Bugster? I know you were going for more detailed dx.

No special weekend plans around here. Go ride my horse, and get some more house work done. I got a LOT done early this week (I had to keep moving) so just finishing. I may touch on some detailed work like windows, and cleaning light fixures.

I had a pumpkin muffin from Einsteins this AM with my cafe mocha. That "should" hold me for a while.

Amanda, I feel like you do about company happy hours.  Why do I want to get drunk with my co-workers and take the chance of making an a$$ of myself?  Worse yet, getting drunk with the bosses isn't a good idea either.  Last time our company had a Christmas party, one of my female co-workers was feeling no pain and she kept touching my silk shirt - on the sleeve, on the back, and several times made an attempt to touch my breasts.  I kept telling her to stop because I was so uncomfortable.  Things were never the same between us after that.  Fortunately, she quit about 3 months later.

Spent the morning at the shelter.....now I'm home, showered, clothes are bleached in the washer, and I'm getting ready to go to work. Once I get off at five tonight, I have to pack up the car as the Schnauzers and us are headed out of province tomorrow morning at first light for an agility trial. We'll be there right through till Sunday evening. Hoping the trial goes well!

Me either Steph, I've never really gotten that.  I sure would like to be a fly on the wall Monday morning during staff....or should I say barfly on the wall?  LOL

Had a busy week; and actually worked IN the office....but today I'm working from home....Yay!  Gives me a chance to upload some pics here; and to play Yoville and Farmtown.....shhh.

Next week is going to even busier....the boss is coming to Houston, we'll all have dinner Monday night; then we have an all day F2F meeting on Tuesday; then she will be behind closed doors with 40 of our favorite co-workers Wed/Thursday.  I am excited though to have the folks come to Houston.  We are spread out so....its nice to get together.

    Happy Friday everybody.

    Re: Mindless chat TGIF

I loved my old boss, and we're still friends, but she used to get more drunk than almost anyone else at the table on Thirsty Thursdays.  I have to imagine that is worse than the employees.

As for the Nor'Easter, my friends in CT and NH were complaining about that the past few days.  It must have come over from here, because we got the snow and 29 degree temps last weekend.

Karen, I hope you feel better quickly.  Between B and being sick, you must be exhausted!  Get the hubs to take over B duty while you REST this weekend, mkay??

Tina, Happy Birthday to your son!!  My dad used to call his mom on his own birthday to thank her for being his mom.  See... that's the kind of dad I have!  I love him.  I haven't heard yet how he's doing today, my mom stayed overnight in the hospital with him.  I'm sure she's beat.

Dropped my sister off at the airport this morning, and she said I can use her new Pathfinder for the weekend while she's gone.  OOOOOOh!  Where can I go?!  What can I do!?  All I can think of is to stop at the animal shelter, and find the Kohl's.  Sounds lame.  I think it's time to find some hiking trails with G.

Ordered my Retrieve Handbook from Margot Woods, FINALLY.  She e-mailed me over a month ago about it and I totally spaced it and didn't go and hit the stupid button to order it until yesterday.  Can't wait to get that.  Our training partners back in NH are exceeding G in titles now, so, I feel the need to catch up. :D
