Has anyone got a recipe for an emaciated dog. She should be 70 plus pounds and is just under 40lbs. Other than putting puppy food in with her kibble. Any other ideas or suggestions?

Conformation
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I want to do conformation with Joy. She comes from working lines, but she has outstanding conformation. the only problem is the breeder doesn't register her dogs with the AKC. I've been doing pedigree work, and she doesn't have any dogs in the past 4 generations that are AKC reg. She is,...

No rawhides. Maybe bully sticks?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I am not giving Buddy any rawhides based on my vet's advice and from other's advice on here. However, Buddy is considered a "strong chewer" as per the Nylabone packaging. He hasn't gone completely through a bone yet, but he has chewed the ends down to points on a bone he got over...

Kord's day out.
Posted to:

Well, since I have been taking Kord to the vets the past 2 weeks with one more on the way for his last dip we decided to start taking him with us everywhere so that he does not associate car=bath. Today we went on a 3 hour spin around town for dog food, cat food, the bank, best buy and whole foods. Outside...

Wild dog

This is a hypothetical to everyone that frequents this section: What would you do if you were working at a rescue and someone brought in an unsocialized dog, that had been living in the wild or on the streets. The dog isn't aggressive but rather fearful, doesn't want to be handled, and would...

We have a 4-month-old lab/shepherd pup and I want to get a kitten. I think right now would be a good time since our princess may be a little scared of a kitten- which is good so she wouldn't hurt it. Princess is a skiddish pup. As far a the sex of a kitten... would you recommend anything for...

Dog trainer forum?

More information and focus on the companionship between dogs and their owners would be fine. Also, would be nice if you added a forum devoted to dog trainers, vets and dog experts.
