Bleeding :-(
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Hi everybody, I have 2 lovely Labs - 13 months old boys, Jake and Bruno, both neutered. Something wrong with Bruno. Sometimes in the morning before he gets up he has very strong erection and it's bleeding. He was tested by vet, they found crystals in his urine. Last 3 weeks I give him prescription...

Fearful of other dogs
Posted to:

My black Lab/Basset mix, Cairo, has a pretty troublesome fear of other dogs, at least that's about as near as I can figure what's wrong. Whenever I take him on a walk and we pass by another dog, he gets growly and snappy and makes a fool out of himself. If we let him sniff noses with other dogs...

We can block ignorant posts, or posters, and we seem to be having so much fun finding our way around that no one is fighting. And, we haven't seen an aggressive dog post in days. I guess our dogs are getting along better, too!!! Either that or the owners haven't left their computers in days....

Very scared of weird things

My dog comes from a good breeder, atleast we thought. Well, I first had a German Shep male and he died under 2 years from having a tumor (which our vet knew about, but never told us (I had a friend working in that vet a couple of years later who got bored and looked up my old dog's fie) but unfort...

A little background. We got a Beagle puppy July 1 last year from a pet store that was shut down a month later because too many dogs died days after leaving the store. I think ours would have as well, but we loved our dog, Abby, and did all we could to get her healthy. She had pneumonia and it took 6...

herding clinic summary

Finally had a chance to share about my past weekend at a Bob Vest clinic. We had a small variety of dogs (aussies, bc's, cardi's, two tervs). We had folks of all levels of training and experience. Bob Vest is an absolute delight. He is funny and engaging. When you ask for clarification you get it. Talk...

Anyone know a homecook soup / stew recipe for allergy dogs?

I'm looking into making home cook meals for my pup. Though I don't know where to start. She loves eating anything soup / stew / saucy like with chunks of meat and vegetables. What can I make for a dog with allergies?

Puppy Eating habits?

So Cole has been with me for two days now, and of course he has an upset tummy. I've changed his food and his poor hind end is paying for it. [8|] But the other thing I noticed is that Cole lives for mealtime. As soon as he hears the clink of his dish, he whines and struggles to be the first to...

Meet the hounds :)

Hello all, I'm new to this forum so I figure the first thing I ought to do is introduce my dogs. Wasn't sure what section this goes in, but seeing as I'm posting pictures, I figured it could just go here. Before I introduce the hounds, I'll give a little bio on myself: I'm a reluctant...

2nd opening for spaying!

Hi I am always on the dog info sight yet my Mom owns a cat and wanted me to ask this question. Can a vet tell by looking at a cat whether or not it was already spayed. My Mom is a senior on a fixed income. She took in a cat that she says was a stray, always hanging out at the house and very skinny. She...
