Gluocosamine as a daily supplement

I am always concerned about joint health (among other things). I started Buddy (9 years old and +100 pounds) on gluocosamine supplements on a daily basis when he was 4 years old. I believe it has helped over the long term, as even now he gets around very well. No problems getting up or down, no problems...
