hairball remedy all-round
Posted to:

seems when one is hacking up a hairball they all must join in - and they don't even get along that well. Catnip (Siamese Rescue foster) brought up a cigar-size one, then one of my own meezers felt she much join in the act and leave one. My yellow tabby male started coughing last night like...

Abe's separation anxiety
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Both Kenny and Abe are crated any time we leave the house b/c both are scavengers and will certainly find things to get into! Abe has had separation anxiety issues from day 1. When we got him from the cocker rescue he did not know his name nor was he crate trained. I was a little angry b/c the point...

Poisoned Dogs, Raccoons and Squirrels.

I'm sure some people from Ontario have heard about it by now, but in case no one has, here is an update. Several dogs from the GTA have been poisoned after consuming antifreeze at a local off leash dog park. Approximately 6 dogs were originally treated for symptoms of poisoning, but sadly two...

Photos..update on how I spent my Friday night (Cats NDR)
Posted to:

Kittens are doing great. LIttle grey girl is still a bit shy, as is the other female, but they are coming around. The two males are doing really great and will purr and rub on my arm and want petting. We had them in the garage until the fleas got all killed off and now have their condo in the living...

Trying to figure out when it's time
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Hi again, this is sort of an update about my wheaten, Amber, who is terminally ill with PLN. My other post was on April 23rd when I thought the end was near... that was about 64 days ago... but amazingly, she's still hanging in there. She is now completely emaciated, but still eats and drinks. She...

Turner Classic Movie just ran an OLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDD 1933 William Powell movie called the Kennel Club Murder.... recreational raw bones question

So we are in teething hell with our pup and thinking that a raw meaty bone would be a good thing for her to gnaw on but I'm a little confused as to what kind I should be asking for/looking for in the grocery store (and I hope they have some - since we do not have a butcher around here that I can...

Agility Title Question

Ok I am a newbie, and never thought much about titles but now that my dog has one I have a question. Does the AKC send you a certificate or anything when your dog finishes a title? I couldn't find anything on the AKC site.

What is the Detroit airport like? Opinions, please (Tacran)
Posted to:

Like me, my mother is a nervous airline passenger. She's also of an age considered "elderly" (although I don't think of her that way!). To reduce some of her anxiety, she prefers to have layovers in smaller airports she's been to before and that don't require walking 100 miles...

Diet for arthritis and sensitive stomach
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Boomer is a pit (mix?) whose stomach has rejected all but a couple of foods. We found out today that he had a growth problem that has caused his shoulder sockets to be too shallow for the bone that they are supposed to cradle so at three years old he has semi-debilitating arthritis. I’m looking for a...
