    She ate a mole

Rookie move, eating the mole.  But, I'm pretty sure it was her first live catch...she looked pretty proud of herself.  I suppose she thought I or Buddy was going to take it from her.  And, I would have if I hadn't had my hands full at the time.  She caught it, ran about 20 feet, dropped it.  It tried to run, so she caught it again and ate it.  Just like that.

Hopefully that will be the only time she eats her kill.  We are worried about the claws on that little bugger damaging the lining of her stomach or something.  Confused

Buddy never eats what he catches...always leaves it prominently on the driveway.  He's an old hand at it.

Because SOMEONE is going to say it...

So I guess if this was The Sopranos...you could say she "Whacked-a-mole"?

Eko has asked me to convey his utmost burning jealousy. I will have to keep an eye on him, lest he run away and come to live with the awesome people who have MOLES! In their OWN YARDS!!!

The best Eko gets is moths. Sad

Does Ben know he's getting short changed? Eko does. He manages to find all sorts of "treasures" on our walks. A bunny head, a shriveled portion of possum carcass left by coyotes, a dead snake....

And I wonder why he thinks walks are more exciting than the dog park? The park is nice and all, but you never find anything yummy.

Bugsy can so relate!  And goodness I don't know what I would do if he brought it in - I don't think he would ever though - he has so much fun flinging them in the air and making them squeak, letting them dig in again and catrching them again.  Ah it is sooooooooo good Ben & Eko  ha ha ha!

My mom says you could both come live with me! We have many critters in fact yesterday a deer was eating from the bird feeder.  The moles have made a big come back from the Autumn so Bugsy has plenty to share.  He does rather enjoy eating bugs that fly by though too!

Heidi I kind of wish Bugsy would eat that darn things - less I'd have to feed and neither DH nor I would have to put it out of its misery Ick!

Ah, now that is where Heidi shines.  You should see this girl when after the dragonflies...such focus...and great exercise.  She is the happiest when chasing bugs, it seems.

Yeah, you should have seen Buddy when he came in walking ever so slowly and his head down with his mouth completely closed.  THAT should have been a big red flag that something was up with him.  LOL  Out he went, and it took me a good 2 minutes to talk him into dropping it.  He doesn't like it when someone wants to take his prey.  Devil boy.  Devil

Eko and Ben, Buddy and Bugsy will gladly share their mole holes...come join in on the fun!

LOL that seems pretty good, there are a lot of things he is willing to drop but a mole HA!  He is a little more wary though since last year when he opened his mouth to drop the mole and it had bit onto his lips - probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen.  He's standing there with this mole hanging off his lip - you could hear the 'not me mom'

Last year he was outside and I called him to put his leash on so we could go for a walk.  He had a strange look on his face and his mouth was shut.  Having afixed the leash he still had his mouth completely shut - "Drop it" he looks at me like what I got nuffing, Drop nuffing, etc.  Then I say fine lets walk, mouth still shut.  We go down the drive (250ft), to the end of the cul de sac, mouth still closed.  Now I KNOW something is in there.  Drop, nuffing. Angry

March him back home - look of panic - no walkies???? - get all the way back to the garage and wala he opens his mouth and a live cicada comes buzzing out  Surprise  Back down the drive and off to walkies LOL

Hmm. You don't mean this "got nuffin'" look, now do you?
