We went out to see the puppies this afternoon. They are 5 1/2 weeks old and just a whole bundle of adorableness. My partner grumped about them not being fun enough because they all fell asleep, but look at his happy smile.
This is our little boy. His name is Kivi Tarro, which means "stone" in Finnish and "stone" in some Aboriginal dialect! And it also sounds like an anime superhero. We have numerous Kivi Tarro theme songs. My favourite is the one to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Here's KT's pretty coloured sisters. The breeder is keeping both as they are both PRA clear and there aren't many of those in the rare colours like these two. The sable domino is currently nicknamed Panda and the chocolate girl Cocoa. Our boy is called Jazz as his show name is Jazz Singer, but she's promised to call him Kivi for the next few weeks.

This is another of KT's sisters, currently known as Socks.

Here's another of Cocoa. She's winking!

And here's another of Panda. She looked in the mirror and died of cuteness!

And here's my partner snuggling our baby boy. He says Kivi Tarro has to grow into his name.

The pups were all very friendly and relaxed. Tragically, the very first thing I did to Kivi Tarro was to accidentally step on him. He cried! Then he gave me the "Why are you so mean!" look and thought about running away. Fortunately, a little cuddle righted all wrongs and he forgot about it. There are some photos of him with me somewhere, but I've got to get them off my mother. I didn't get a photo of the other black and tan sister. She was feeling indepent and sulky, possibly because her Mum had spent the day apart from them in with the other dogs. Mum's name is Casey. She came out and demanded cuddles from everyone. That dog would cuddle all day if you let her.
Our breeder says Kivi Tarro is getting stuck into his meat and even though he's the smallest in the litter, he holds his own and can get fiesty. Sounds like a certain corgi I know (who is currently sleeping at my feet, yay!). All the puppies are already doing their business on the patch of grass in their pen. 20 days until we bring Kivi Tarro home!
