combined weights...?

A couple years back, I did buy a stretcher to help in emergency situations.

That's a good idea. I have a rule about not bringing home dogs that I can't lift, in an emergency. That pretty much limits me to dogs who weigh less than I do (at 115 lbs). A stretcher would be good for a big dog, regardless of whether it can be lifted by one or not. It'd probably be much more comfortable.

55 lbs for all four.  Throw in the chinny and it's still less than 57 lbs.

Probably somewhere in the 150lb range. If you're counting the cats too, then add 12 pounds.

I can pick up any of our pets, but I'm not sure if I could carry either of the shepherds more than a few feet.

I recently had to pick Kaiser up and lift him into a chest level bath tub. I can't believe i didn't pull anything!!

About a month ago I had to get Bugsy into DH's SUV  - normally he just jumps in but he was sooooooo tired and didn't want to leave anyway so - heave ho!  Couldn't believe I got him in

BTW I've only got Bugsy but he's 105lbs - his best friends are 80, 108 and 90lbs so when they play together its a wild one!

    About 17 pounds (12 +5).

Mine would be 9 to 9.5 lbs! Cool

But if I added the pony...well I don't even want to think about that!!!!

One dog - 60 lbs.  But I'd really hate to have to try and pick him up.

One 70 pound Lab, one 7 pound cat and one 5 pound rabbit add up to 80 pounds of fur.  If they'd co-operate, I could probably carry them at one time, but there's no way they'd agree to it.

Around 150 lbs for 2 dogs.

We have a ramp to get them in the van; they do not need it now but we wanted them to be used to it in case it became necessary later. In case of an emergency, my husband could carry them (one at a time, no Superman around hereWink) but I would have to use a tarp with padding to pull them up the ramp and/or ask for help. I will order a "Lift Carrier" so that I could at least help them walk if they were only partially incapacitated.

I find myself thinking what am I going to do when the time comes for me to have to get my pet or pets to the vet (when they can't walk). Right now they weigh about 260lbs. together and their still growing.  I could barely lift my last dog and he weighed 110lbs.

Brown, Grey, and Tar have a combined weight of 260ish.

    Three dogs = 22lbs.

Let's see.. in my house, there are four cats and two dogs, with a combined weight of around 185 pounds. Just my two (dog and cat) are 75ish pounds.

I went camping this past weekend, and it poured rain the first night, so Cherokee sat in the car while we set up the tents...when it was finally time to get her in the tent, I carried her the whole way so as to not get her all muddy. 60 pound dog + weak girl + mud = not fun, but we made it. She was totally freaked out. Big Smile

Light weight here with only one 9 pound dog, though I'm still too lazy to carry him around, not as long as he has four perfectly good legs. Stick out tongue

Also have two praying mantises but Kirby's collar weighs more than them.

Well, I can put Tabitha in my pocket, and I know she weighs less than my purse!  I think our combined weight thus far would only be about 48 lbs. and that includes my cat!  From the look of things on this thread, I would definitely be the "light weight"!  Wink
