    Monday Musings

Wow -- not only is there no "mc" I'm literally the only one on here at 8:30.  But I've already gotten a lot accomplished work-wise.  Strange sky - not sure what our weather will be (aside from hot/muggy)

Grrr I am so tired of feeling tired and ill.I was awake from 4 this morning Boo hiss! Long day today too, ah well. Nothing that is serious or going to kill me

Had a lovely afternoon/evening last night with a friend who came over. I was reminded of our chat from the other day, when she didn't bring her dog, even though we had said to bring him along. She's a bright woman so I presumed she either didn't want to have to keep an eye on him or was worried about his behavior. After Bugsy took it upon himself to keep her entertained (insert eyeroll) she realized that we wanted her to bring her dog to keep B busy LOL

It truly was a very relaxed and good evening with great conversation. DH & I aren't good at small talk so an intellectual conversation is always a winner for us.

I can say that if Bugsy could talk he would demand all this social interaction every weekend. He was at a friends on Thursday, someone stopped here on Friday, Saturday we saw his girlfriend and family, then a neighbor with dogs stopped by here, then yesterday he had four hours of a new audience to entertain. He's pooped but glowing hahahaha Poor thing got adopted by two introverts and is extremely social Big Smile

That's all I've got. It was nice to not have storms yesterday but we already have them popping up all around us and its expected all day. Lightning

Sorry you're not feeling well Karen. Is it allergies?

Pool co. will be here this morning to pump out the swampy water. I need to get showered in case they show up super early. I can't wait for this pool to be cleaned up.

I might make a Trader Joe's run to see what goodies they have. I got a 20% off coupon for Cost Plus, so I might stop by there too. Work in the yard is probably in the cards too but it'll depend on how hot it gets.

Nothing exciting here. Hot, humid, swampy. And plenty of work.

Sorry you're still feeling sub par, Karen.

Cathy, I hope the pool project goes smoothly.

Nothing exciting going on around here.  Loose dogs down the street were having an orgy when I drove past. Angry

Ugh... what day is it? I've had a crazy week with family in town and late LATE nights every night for the kids. It's almost 10 and they're still sleeping. Usually they're up no later than 7. I have Mt. Everest of laundry to tackle and work to do. I really feel like just going back to bed and sleeping the day away. lol

It's one of those days when I wish I liked coffee.  I desperately need caffeine.  Like you, Karen, I woke up at 4AM and never fell back to sleep.  Not good, considering I didn't go to bed until 11PM, and I woke up a couple times in between, too.  No one is in the office besides me, and you have no idea how much I'd like to just put my head on the desk and take a nap.  But that's when someone would walk in and give me heart failure.  It's only 9:45 . . . it's going to be a long day.

Ruby enjoys visitors like Bugsy does.  She's so happy when we have visitors, especially if they're also dog-lovers, and even better if they spend the night.  When we have houseguests, in the mornings she's camped inside our bedroom, her nose to the door, tail wagging, waiting for us to let her out so she can go see the people out there!!!  She knows it's more opportunity to get dog treats from suckers (oops, I mean visitors), as well as have another couch buddy.  When overnight guests leave, she definitely looks around for them, even though she's tired after they leave.

From last night -- Joyce, your sons sound like such good guys, helping you as they do. You obviously raised them well!

Lol neiko is like that with visitors too and if they spend the night watch out lol he is beside himself with joy. He was in heaven this weekend with my nieces. They walked him around the park a lot (lily too. I only trust abbie with me though).

Karen sorry you are feeling I'll :(

Janice I know that overwhelming feeling all too well heh.

Can I just say that the instant coffee I made this morning at camp was awesome? Never thought I'd say that about instant coffee.

This weekend was great. Lots of hiking, bike riding, and kayaking. And of course smores and campfires and games of yahtzee with the family. it rained a bit and the humidity was over 70% every day though so I am ready for some air conditioning and clean clothes. And a nap.

thanks for the thoughts - I am not sure what is going on; allergies plus ?? I think I have mentioned before that I have a congenital kidney 'thing' and this may be kicking in too. I am hoping to sleep well tonight and feel better in the AM. Too darn much to do to feel so blah!

LOL yes Bugsy is the same with sleepover guests, in fact he runs to their room and inhales so deeply under the door I am surprised he doesn't suck them out of the room.

Julie I am so glad that you had a great time

Jano hoping you get some rest soon

Cathy I hope the pool cleaning went well

    hmmm, hey Jackie and Tina

Hot, humid, sunny, and sweaty. To make the day complete, we have a mosquito hatch. I may have to get more 12 gauge ammo to defend the dog. I think the hatch happened at 3:32 this afternoon, as there were no mosquitos when I walked in, but about 6 million per cubic ft when I walked out. Summer in Minnesota, when the woods hum after dark.
