    Rescue Pup

A shepard rescue from New England is taking this puppy and already has a home waiting for her. Right now, her name is Kay Kay, and today was her last day at the parish animal shelter. Had they not stepped in, she would not be alive right now. She's a Lab mix about 10-12 weeks old. I am fostering her until the transport makes it way here, so she'll be with us for a few days. Here are some puppy pics. Note how Chip is scared of a tiny puppy. Right now she's inside with Tar, who could get along with a wolverine. She's busy pulling on his face, and he so doesn't care. Chip wasn't having any of that.      What a cutie!

She's just at that age, she needs to learn her doggie etiquette, and who better to teach her than other dogs?  Except Chip says, NOT ME! and Tar says, I'm tough, I can take a little rudeness.  Ha ha haaa, she will do well as long as her new family get her some training.

    Thanks for the pics!

    Tar -- you rock!!

There is nothing like an inquisitive pup!

Had Brown still been alive, I'd have had her with him instead. Tar was the next best thing for how to behave in a house because he's very patient and used to small dogs hanging off of his floppy neck skin (Spudge does this all day long). The puppy kicked him out of the dog bed, and he didn't know what to do so he just stood there staring at me to solve the problem. She slept in her crate all night without pooping or peeing so I'm hoping that this will continue.

Tinkerbell has Luna's ear wadded up INSIDE Tink's mouth most of the time we're home.  The pug must have incredibly good bite inhibition - she doesn't just 'pull' on Luna's ear.  She leads Luna ALL OVER (most of the time on a dead run thru the house or outside) that way.  Half the time you go to pet Luna's ear and it is ... WET.  Then you think "Oh joy -- pug spit!"

Cute pup! Tar Bugsy is the same as you, apparently it never crossed his mind that you can put a pup in its place LOL

Kay Kay will be leaving soon for Alabama overnight then will be making her way up north. I hope the poor thing isn't confused. Within a week's time, she'll have been in a shelter, at my house, on a car ride to AL, at someone else's house overnight, and then on another trip before stopping in MA. From there, she will be picked up again and brought to NY. I have this horrifying thought in my head of what if she gets lost somehow along the way.

Kay Kay made it to AL last night pretty quickly. I got pics of her trip, and she seems to have had a good time with the transporters kids and with the lady who kept her overnight. She left with a group of dogs this morning so she's on her way to her forever home.

I'm glad she's on her way to her new life.  She'll be fine.  Puppies are so good at dealing with change and it will all be a good experience for her.
