    Thursday chat

Everything is different so I hope I'm not starting a duplicate.  What happened?

The lack of notifications and my non-stop running has kept me away, and then it becomes no longer part of the habit.

Aside from the business of work, I've been thinking I might need to start building the ark.  We've had so very much rain this month.  But for now, we have sunshine and pretty weather, finally.  We'll take it!

Last week the boss finally decided to give me the title for the job I've been doing for several months.  I'm now officially Advertising Sales Manager.  Very mixed feelings about that....on the one hand, can't the world just go away and let me SELL, but, on the other I've trained a good team and we work well together.  Now if the resident PITA would just decide to go away, all would be right with the world!

I hope to find time to check and see what's happening here, but in the meantime, I hope that everyone is well.

RIP James Gandolfini.  You were one of the very few who makes NJ proud.

Glenda - congrats on the promotion!!

We had Charlie & Luna up at the vet at 6:40 (Luna's got a tiny tumor on her eye, but hopefully he can just burn that off rather than waiting to have to do mega surgery to remove a wedge out of the eyelid) & then both getting teeth cleaned. And the vet was there late last night doing that bulldog c-section (apparently 3 mega cuties and all survived). Tink got her breakfast in her crate and I don't think she even NOTICED that we left!! *chuckle* -- ummm food-motivated?

By golly I hope the news on Charlie isn't bad. I was trying to hard not to obsess over this thing that I didn't check it thoroughly often enough.

I am SOO not a morning person zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Yes - rip James Gandolfini. I also heard that Dave Jennings who was a punter with the NY Giants during my youth passed away. Pretty sad when the team's best player was a punter LOL

Callie I hope all is fine with the fur kids. Always a worry

    Sleepy, sleepy today

OK so the person who invited us over on Saturday night is like hope you had a nice time let's do it again. Besides Bugsy watering her plant - it wasn't a great time. The husband is weird and my DH was clear he is in no way going bac, and I kind of concur. Ugh I hate this sort of thing

Welcome back, Glenda!  Don't be a stranger...says the person who doesn't post much!

Amazon Prime is so cool!  The items I ordered yesterday afternoon are out for delivery!  So now I need to go grocery shopping so I can try out the crockpot!

    Whine alert/

Sore throat hurts so much I can hardly swallow (insert jokes here). Woke up with conjunctivitis in left eye, possibly also the right. I was supposed to go to a ball game after work with my guy friends who have season tickets, third row behind home plate, and it's supposed to be sunny and 80 today. Going to the doctor at 1:00p and then convalescing instead. Crying

Hi everyone....I havent caught up.  I soooo miss notifications.

Deb I am happy that your dentist went as well as expected!  Also you can count on my support when you rule the world :)

Callie keeping you guys in my thoughts today...good vibe for Charlie and Luna.

Congrats on the "title" promotion Glenda.  I hope there were some benefits attached.

Seems like a long time since I have been here, I missed Johnny it appears...Hey Johnny havent you got any old lady jokes to share?

I hope everyone is doing well and having a good summer, officially starting tomorrow....I was reminded that Sonic is doing 1/2 price shakes today to end spring.  Deb what is going to be our official summer cocktail?  Something cool and fruity I hope.

A few weeks ago when all the storms rolled thru here heavy flooding hit a county south of us.  5 were killed by flood waters including the Sheriff, U.S. forestry officer and the 2 older women they were trying to rescue.  The fifth person was a woman from Texas here with her husband for a music festival.   Many homes and lives were uprooted but with the bad also come hope and faith.  I wanted to share this very happy story of a family and their dog reunited.

    Have a great day all

ugh -- and ALL you gotta do is literally roll over and touch your pillow and it can go from eye to eye. If you can find Similisan Eye Drops (most pharmacies carry them - both Walgreens and CVS do)

    http://www.similasanusa.com/pink-eye-relief

They used to call them "Pink Eye Relief" and now they just call them "Irritated Eye Relief" -- but it's the best stuff to soothe conjunctivitis I have ever found!! They've got a funky cap on that is honestly SO much easier than trying to hold an open bottle in one hand, the dropper in the other and then figure out how to open your eye without spilling the rest of the bottle (and you can't set it down because you can't frigging SEE!). I've tried others of theirs but that one is **the** best (and I get pink eye pretty frequently)

    Ginger nice to see you!!!

Anybuddy know what's up?? Since last night about every other time I post I get a notice from Chrome that it can't "find" the forum. >> what's up with that?

*waves* Hi everyone! Just popping in to say hi, I don't get much computer time these days and the forum isn't the best on mobile. We are doing well. Sophie is now 13 months. Man, time flies. Anyway, here are some photos for your viewing pleasure :) I made them public so you shouldn't need to be on FB to see them. Hope all is well with everyone!

Callie, I had the same issue with the forum last night.  Simply wasn't getting found.

Poor Tina!  And to miss a baseball game on top of everything else is really adding insult to injury.  Hope you feel better soon.

I appreciate the congrats.  Since I've been doing the job for many months, nothing really changes (altho a bump in pay would be very nice) but it is nice for the boss to actually acknowledge what I do.

Decided to come home for lunch and hop on the phone for a few hours and get a few more ads sold for next weeks monthly pub.  Back to work.....

YAY -- Just talked to the head tech (since Dr. B is at court -- the reason he did the surgery so insanely early was the man got picked to be on a jury in a murder trial and they wouldn't let him off just because he had surgeries scheduled!! Like that bulldog was s'posed to wait to have her pups??)

    Both are fine.

I'd already told them I wanted the lipoma-whatever thing sent to pathology. Apparently Dr. B is pretty darned convinced that the lipoma was still *just* a lipoma -- but I was right -- it HAD begun to 'change' and there were some hard, strange spots. it came out like a normal lipoma does, tho and the tissue underneath looked FINE. But Dr. B is really happy that I wanted it sent off. Normally a lipoma is a lipoma -- but when they begin to change??

So I'm glad I pushed for it to get done NOW. Charlie can SEE now and he's really starting to totally **enjoy** his life -- I just plain didn't want to wait too long and screw that up.

Dr. B easily dealt with the little tiny tumor on Luna's eye -- she'd been rubbing at it a lot, so that was growing and if you wait on an eyelid tumor then they have to take out a big pie-shaped wedge and wear a cone for a LONG time ... little stinker better quit eating Dad's "Digestive Biscuits" or David'll make her swim to Scotland to get him some more LOL

If I had to describe what "Digestive Biscuits" are ... I'd say they look like .... round flat ... dog biscuits. So ...???????? (*innocent look*)

ok -- now I got rid of that hot rock in my own gut. back to work

    • Gold Top Dog

Yea for Charlie and Luna B
