Julie, I hate feeling like I'm not dressed appropriately. It's probably true that it's not as noticeable to others as it is to you.
Sandie, I'm sorry you had such a horrible dental experience. Rest and feel better. Reminds me I need to reschedule my appointment to have my teeth cleaned. Dog cuddles and kisses will help a lot. :)
Cathy, yuck to all you're going through with the move and work.
Tina, all I can say is YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for your new siding being finished except for the gutters. I bet people will be wrecking their cars in front of your house because they're gawking at the beautiful new siding. I know how great I felt when we replaced our nasty, falling apart siding.
We had day two of afternoon thunderstorms just as I was leaving work to drive home. Yesterday's storm had a lot of lightning and it seemed to be striking way too close for comfort. Poor Gabby was a quivering mess by the time we got home. We seem to be in this weather pattern and more storms predicted in the late afternoon today. This is nothing like what's going on in other parts of the country so I feel lucky in that respect.
One of our guys buried his service truck in the mud at a water treatment plant late yesterday. I doubt he'll ever make that mistake again. All because he didn't want to walk the fifty feet to the unit from the paved parking lot and parked on the saturated dirt next to the unit. In his attempts to get himself unstuck, he let the truck go down a steep hill. I may nominate him for the Darwin award. I felt really sorry for him by the time it was all over. He said he expected to get fired over it. I came to his defense when firing was discussed because I've gotten stuck a few times in the mud or sand and needed help to get out. I even got stuck driving someone else's 4 wheel drive vehicle because I didn't realize I hadn't put it in 4 wheel drive.
