Calming tues

I sure hope today is calming. Piles of work aren't making me feel that way though. I wanted to stay in bed forever this morning and I know DH was feeling it even more. That DISH network guy showed up at 11:30 yesterday and didn't finish until 10 last night. I know he and DH had to have been beyond frustrated that things weren't working and that poor guy had to crawl back under the house after it was dark to rewire something. *shudder* They did get it all working though, so I know that was a relief.

I think it's just being tired and a little stressed but the news of a wonderful man and volunteer at HB dying suddenly yesterday made me cry like a baby. I still feel super sad about it. Here's the story that's already been released -

I hope his wife is comforted by knowing how loved and admired he was. ETA - The editor didn't like his first name which is the shortened version of Richard. Geesh!

That's quite a write-up!! He will be horribly missed I' sure. At least I got two ratty problems 'solved' this morning. I'll take "success" where I can find it today LOL

Thanks for sharing that write-up, Cathy.  He sounded like a wonderful person (he also looked a bit like Steve Martin!).  I just don't understand why good people like that, with so much left to do and give, have to be taken at relatively young ages.  It's so unfair, when you think of how many rotten people live to be ancient.  I don't blame you for feeling very, very sad.  I'm sure he's being mourned by so many . . . I hope his family gets strength and comfort from all those who will honor and miss him now.

I forgot to say in my post earlier this morning that I'm glad you're feeling better, Deb!

Remember the mullet I got last summer...
did I see photos of this?
Are you kidding me? I avoided the camera like the plague last summer. Let's just say there were a lot of pony tails happening.
