Janice, I'd be so freaked out! I'd be outside hanging motion-activated lights around the entire perimeter of my house today if that happened to me! Yes, I'm a bit paranoid. I wonder what the heck it was??? Rupert was wise to stay indoors. Ruby's like Bugsy -- she'd have gone right out to investigate.
Count me in the "non-sewing" group. I use a seamstress near my office when I need things altered. I'll sew on buttons, but even then I do a poor job. Karen, that cracked me up when you said your DH would be in the pillow section of HomeGoods. My DH gets lost in the kitchen aisles -- looking at special pots/pans, knives, etc. is heaven for him.
Gorgeous day here -- expected temps in the 70's, plenty of sun (and we never have humidity). Ruby and I are heading out shortly for a walk with my friend, then we'll be doing a lot of yard work today. Got some plants to get in the ground and LOTS of weeding. They grow overnight, I swear.
Ruby had her first agility class yesterday. DH said, "Well, it must have gone well because neither of you came home with any injuries." It's not a formal type of class -- just basic introduction to some obstacles. Ruby did great. She'll do anything for treats, so once she saw someone at the other end/side of the obstacle with treats, she zoomed right over or through it, no fear. The hardest part was keeping her focused -- she was way too interested in the zillions of mole holes/trails in the field, and pulling me all over the place trying to get to other people's bags where the treats were. But she definitely had fun, so that's good.
