It's Friday (just barely)

 I did my best to sup some margarita and eat some nice fresh tacos to support our SPCA last night - may be a wee bit too much margarita but it was for a great cause The restaurant was donating 20% of all checks to the SPCA, a really amazing thing I thought

Today however is Friday - going to the beach Friday. Bugsy loves the beach

 

Hoping he is feeling strong enough to enjoy himself!

The office is probably my all time favorite show. I'm so going to miss it! I haven't watched the last episode yet though. I will do that sometime over the weekend.

Today is going to be catch up day at work and home. I'm so behind on everything

I think I have found something that abbie loves more than life itself: running along side the bike. She reminds me so much of Dakota. The sheer joy she gets just out of running all out full speed is incredible. Totally makes me smile. :) what's even more amazing is that this is the dog that i can hardly leash walk around the block because she goes into anxiety overload. To see her forget all that and be happy to run on leash next to me like this really makes me happy. Maybe this will carry over to leash walking eventually.

So this weekend I can blow off all responsibility around the house and go play with friends and dogs or I can stay home and do yard work. Tough one!

My thought process on that is you won't ever regret having fun and being with friends and yard work will be there on Monday.

I am behind getting ready to leave for out of town. I need to do some running around this afternoon so I am taking a 1/2 day. I have to go to the dog food store, get food for my dog sitting sister and run about a zillion little errands. However, TGIF and that it is going to be 74 degrees and sunny! Whoo Hoo!

Oh yes!!  Friday!  And the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend so I can play in the dirt to my hearts content!  The even better news is that the boss is going to NYC so he won't be calling wanting me to do stuff!

We let one sales rep go this week and another is on her way out.  The woman is the bane of my existence and I'll be thrilled not to have to deal with her anymore.  I told the boss yesterday that I would rather work 18 hour days 7 days a week myself, than have people who aren't committed on the sales staff.  That may come back to bite me, but, why should people who dont' want to work draw a check every week and hamper the efforts of the rest of us?  Now I've gotta come up with some good candidates or the boss will hire whoever he finds....again!

But, today is Friday and all I have to do is get through the insanity that is always my Friday and I can have two whole days of sunshine and dirt!  Not quite as great as the beach, but.......

I'm still trying to sort out day from *sigh* morning -- still having to ride in to work with David so I'm *at* work at 7:15.

Saw dr again yesterday -- I'm not progressing very fast (I still can *not* walk without huge pain & I'm frigging sick of the @)($* wheelchair!)  Because I can't do steroids it's slower -- & every step tractions that sciatic nerve this time so he says just keep doing what I'm doing, and no stairs, ramps, & take tiny tiny steps when I *do* have to walk.  I told him I'm already doing a Tim Conway Old Man impersonation.  He was old enough to laugh with David and I. 

I shouldn't moan -- am married to the best guy on the planet who's doing all this extra w/good grace.

Karen - enjoy the beach!!  Will enjoy seeing pics of Bugs in his beach togs.  Will Bull Frog not work on him??  It's waterproof - Mr. David says it's good cos it doesn't 'sweat' off.  But give it time to dry before you go outside?  Tell Bugsy to blame it on Aunt Callie!  That should work?

Beach Bum Cocktail

2 parts Grey Goose  Pear flavored Vodka
1/2 part Cointreau orange liqueur 
1 part fresh lime juice
1/2 part Maraschino Cherry liqueur
dash of grenadine
fresh mint for garnish

 

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add all ingredients. Shake well and strain into rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Top with grenadine and garnish with fresh mint.

Deb - GOOD for you!!  I told David last night (he hates, loathes & despises Walgreens) -- and he said "of all the insane crap & mistakes they've pulled on us, potentially what happened to her was worse.  Filling a prescription with the WRONG stuff?"  What if you were allergic to it!!  We both decided to check to see if the pharmacy mgr at the one a block from our house had maybe tx to N. Jersey?  I doubt it - I think they just screw up all the time like that.

Deb, I'm so glad you didn't have to hurt anyone at Walgreens.  The Preakness is this weekend?  Hope I remember to watch. I should go to our local simulcast track but won't. :)

Jackie, the race goes off around 6:20p Eastern time, so I'm sure you can catch it on the TV. I believe NBC is broadcasting it. Then you won't be tempted to gamble away your life savings.

Have we accounted for all the folks in TX near the tornados?  I heard from Janet_Rose this morning -- I think they said they're up to 16 tornados and she's fine.  She does emergency work but she's fine.  Anyone heard from Gina - she's near there too isn't she?

 Gina is fine!  Scarey night for them though.

She's fine and not very near the area hit by the tornados; maybe forty mile away from her which is about the same distance Janet Rose is from the area hit.
