Freakin' enough already . . Friday Chat

I've had enough of this week.  I am praying that no more law enforcement officers are hurt tracking down the remaining maniac in Boston.  I am also praying that the people of Boston and West can get on with their lives and move past this insanity.

On another note  . . I want to wish a very Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter, Kate and my beautiful friend, Tina.

After a week like this, there's only one cocktail that will do  . . . line 'em up.

    Kamikaze

    2 jiggers Vodka

    2 jiggers Triple Sec

    1 jigger fresh lime juice

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker full of ice.  Shake and strain into a chilled glass.  Makes 1 serving.

Thanks Deb & Jackie! Happy birthday to Kate - another great Aries! Party!!!

I'm taking a half day vacation and going out with my guy friends to lunch to celebrate. It may not involve any Kamikazes, but there could be beer. Beer

     Happy birthday Tina & Kate.

Apparently putting a bag of frozen peas on B's elbow is akin to skinning him alive. The capture and torture routine is getting old. I really can't see how this is more painful than jumping off the last few steps onto a sore shoulder and elbow so I will continue to do it Bugs.

I don't want to do anything today

I saw a hatchling box turtle on our walk that had been attacked by a bird I guess - his little head was gone Crying Of course I would never have had to see it if Bugsy didn't show it to me

Big storms today with some potential tornadic activity. I want to know when 'tornadic' became a word?

Hopefully the second suspect is apprehended or killed soon

Try corn. Maybe he hates peas. I know I do. Stick out tongue

I have an old friend from high school who is visiting her daughter and grands in Cambridge.  Some vacation...being in lockdown!

The news out of West, Texas just gets worse and worse.   So many first responders now being reported as dead. :(  You gotta love Willie Nelson for his generous spirit.  He was holding a concert for his birthday but announced he'll turn it into a benefit for West and all proceeds will go to toward helping that devastated community.

On a brighter note, the weather here is perfect and same for the weekend.  I feel so bad for those still having to deal with snow and ice and the flooding in the midwest.

ETA:  Brilliant idea Tina re the corn. lol  Karen, I saw the forecast for your area earlier. :(

    Happy Birthday Tina and Kate!

So much sadness this week.  Karen - Bugsy will probably tell you that you elminated corn from his diet long ago!  He'd probably suggest Hagen Daz??

    Line 'em up, Deb. Drinks

Happy Birthday to Tina & Kate!

Karen, do you put a towel between Bugsy's leg and the peas? Maybe it's too cold?

We got an inch of snow last night. Still coming down; but we're only supposed to get another inch or so.

He does indeed hate peas - photo evidence here LINK

Janice I used a towel the first few times and because I don't get a lot of contact time I stopped using it. And there was no discernible difference in his horror

Callie I hope your mom's surgery went well

I still don't want to do anything. B is right next to me snoring away. I envy dogs!

Weather is windy and humid, feels like storms. Hoping its not too bad for DH's drive home.

I am off to get my hair cut later and highlights to obscure the gray

Happy Birthday Tina and Kate from another great Aries :)

What a crazy week this has been. So much fear and sadness :(.

I'm going to take Shane for a long, leisurely walk and then pick up some new trial contacts.

Happy Birthday Kate & Tina!  Today is also my parents anniversary.

I hate conspiracy theory crap.  But I read something on Wednesday that "predicted" all of this.  ugh.

I guess your friend visiting her grandkids in Cambridge won't have anyone say they were too busy to spend time with her. No choice but to be together!  It will be over soon, and the rest of the weekend is supposed to be nice weather.

Gracie gets to see "Uncle Irving" her chiropractor today.  Hooraaay!

    Happy birthday Tina and Kate!

Karen, maybe Bugsy can smell the peas from the bag?  The look on his face is priceless (the picture with the bag of peas on him).  Is it wrong I chuckled lol?

I have the third and last part of my interview in about an hour or so.  I'm meeting with 3 of the VP's department heads. After this, hopefully it won't be too long before I know whether or not I'll get a job offer.

Keeping Boston and TX in my thoughts today.  I was born in Boston actually and grew up just north of the city.
