Rainy Thursday

Poor Bugsy and poor momma and dad.  Hopefully this will soon be over.  What was the recovery time again?  I know he's above the curve already...

My parents are home!!  YEAH!!!  Our babysitters are home!!!  YEAH!!!  It was good to see them yesterday.  They had an uneventful 3 1/2 day drive so that's always a relief.  Too bad they are freezing now.  LOL

DH's grandma is heading to the doctor's today.  From what my MIL said, there have been more incidences of dementia (at the grocery store, with her cleaning lady, etc. etc.) and it sounds like it's been going on a while and she's just been hiding it.  Hopefully they can help her if not, she will probably have to go into assisted living.  She will fight them on it, but I don't think they have another solution.

It's going to be in the 50's today and sunny!!!  Whoo Hoo summer is coming!

It's just so unfair when the brain starts to deteriorate like that, Lisa.  The person who once was most likely wouldn't want to be so child like, if s/he had the choice, wouldn't want people to know that their mind was't what it once was.  I struggle with that with my Mom.  But, for the most part, she's very happy, so I have to accept that what is, is.  Hoping that there are some meds that can help g'ma to retain her independence for a bit.

Karen, wow.  Between B and your poor head.......I'm sorry.  "They" say almost 50 here today and I so hope "they" are right.  Im tired of being cold.  I'm tired of wearing the very nice coat that is extremely warm, but wool, mid calf, and weighs almost as much as I do.  And, I'm just soooo ready for Spring  It was so nice on Saturday to be able to be outside doing yardwork and playing in the dirt.  Need more of that.

OK, off to face another day of exuberant puppy training.  Man, if I could botle and sell that kids energy I'd be a rich woman!

Feels like Spring outside - WOO HOO!

Joyce, you'll be proud of me. I figured out how to dvr the whole "Bates Motel" series and it worked! Watched episodes 2 & 3 last night and I think this is my new favorite show.

Good thoughts and vibes for strength for those worrying about loved ones, both the human and animal kinds.

It is so nice to see everything wet and muddy. :)  Very cool for this time of year but we're not complaining.  Haven't we all been saying how weird the weather is the last few years no matter what part of the country we're in?

Karen, I'm sorry Bugsy is being such a beast and then has to pay the price in pain.  Hope the sinus headache ends soon. 

I've got a mind numbing task to do today that involves comparing hundreds of invoices and trying to determine if a certain company is double billing us.  It's made even harder by the fact that they use every last drop of ink in their printer and half the invoices are so faint I can barely read them.

Living the life, just like you, Tina. lol

We're getting the rain tomorrow, but today is beautiful !!

Hannah had this years first soccer practice yesterday.  She was already doing better than last year, since she actually did what she was supposed to do instead of just spinning around looking at the clouds.  She had fun, I think this years coach will be better, and she'll get to go to more games since the custody arrangement has been changed.  Practice had to get cut early though because it started SNOWING.  Not to the point of any accumulation, but c'mon, it's April!  

And since Jackie mentioned yesterday how big he's gotten, I have pics :D

It is a cold, damp, rainy, gloomy day today.  I imagine this is what Karen is expecting.  At least all the phlox I planted yesterday is getting a good watering!

Off to see Mr. Taxman after lunch...blech!

Still raining off and on here today, we have finally gotten quite a bit of rain these last few days.  Rumor has it that we will be getting warmer tomorrow and the weekend...whoooo hoooo.  Some kinda bug got ahold of me this week and I have been sneezing like crazy.  Never had allergies but maybe that is what it is.  I am treating it like a cold, go away bad cold I wanna play outside this weekend :)

Ibuprofen did the job so I can see straight again

I took Beastie for a short walk to avoid having to go around the yard hunting moles. He looks like the flying nun when walking as its windy and with the hippety hop step his ears were flapping all over LOL. As if to prove my theory he was walking really well (relative to where he is at) until on the way back he stood over someone's lawn, got into the head *** & point position, and pounced into the ground ripping a mole out. I tried to interrupt the sequence but you literally cannot move him. Anyway having disposed of the mole (a moment of silence please) we finished our journey home with him more impaired than prior to pouncing into the ground. Dog's man they just don't think

I have a phone call this afternoon that feels like I should be prepping for but every time I look at the content I can't see what to prep for, shrugs.
