Well, we have invited Freida (her foster name was Storm) into our home.  They say she is 4 months old, a wire hair terrier mixed with something - still to be determined!  If I knew how to post a pic I would - so you guys could maybe figure it out.  (her hind leg is already 15 inches long)

She is such a good puppy, it is hard to remember she is a puppy.  She originally came from a kill shelter in KY and was brought up to a rescue in WI.  Abby our 5 yr old little mix dog, is finally adjusting, she just looks at her like, what is it!  Have a few manners to work on with Freida, but it seems like Abby is going to give up her alpha spot.

I can't thank the people that run rescuses enough it was a good experience for us.

Freida goes for her first vet trip tomorrow and of course there is the shopping for puppy food, the one thing with her is she is so thin and the long legs make her look thinner.  I will post a pic if I can figure it out, she is already changing she was black and white when we got her, now more brown is showing up, could she be losing puppy fur, she has wire whiskers and course fur.

    Just wanted to share.

Thanks for all your kindness with the loss of my Pella - I think she would approve of Freida.

Congrats on your new puppy!!! Party!!! I'm sure someone will be along to help you post a picture ( I don't know how either). Frieda is very lucky to have you!

To post a picture it has to reside somewhere "online" -- either on a hosting site like Flickr or upload it here.  It's not quite intuitive -- but I've typed it out before:

Click this That will take you to a post that describes how to post on here if you want to upload the pics to here

Well, here she is (thanks Callie)

She is no longer this black, she has like a faint top coat of wiry black hair and underneath that is brown now.  and her face has brown accents now.  She is getting taller.  Any ideas what she could be mixed with, wire terrier and ?  She has a square mouth.

This picture makes her look short, but her front legs are 12 inches long.

    Thanks for looking/

I don't know what her mix might be, but whatever she is, she's incredibly cute!  Love the markings on her face.  She's a doll!

How wonderful for all of you!  Er, sorry, Abby may not be 'there' yet, he heee.

I thought miniature schnauzer the minute I saw the photo!  They have that boxy muzzle.

Would you believe this is what she looks like a week later! She is really changing. Her vet visit today told us she was underweight by 5-10 lbs and the vet feels she could be mixed with a Cur Hound, she also told me she will probably weigh in at 50-60 when full grown. They guess her age at just reaching 5 months, she is getting new fangs(eye teeth or whatever they are called) already. But yeah, so far so good.
