    Wednesday chat

Oh what a relief it is! I finally feel relieved of this whole thing with Bugsy. I will hear from the surgeon after he sees him this morning and then have a 45 minute consult when I pick him up. This room is really doing my head in so I need to get out of here stat! I went down to the mini breakfast area for coffee and it's putrid. I was surprised that the parking lot is full and all nice vehicles, a sure sign that trying to spend a night in C'ville on the cheap is not easy! I just keep saying, "it's clean" This well dressed guy strolled into the breakfast area and the look on his face at what was on offer was priceless. Lol So I am off to find a decent cup of coffee and to walk. The old section of town is pedestrianized (where I used to work) and will be my first stop as there are plenty of neat little eateries but it's always hard to park. Have a great day all and thank you again for all your support.

Great to hear about the successful surgery, Karen!

I left early yesterday for a doctor's appointment and learned I have a uti. On antibiotics and feeling a little better already.

Today I will be one step closer to having siding on my house. I'll be broke, but I won't have "that" house on the street. You know, the one that drives everyone else's property value down. Embarrassed

Such great news about B.  the hotel?  Not so much.  But, at least it IS clean.

Sorry about the UTI Tina.  Those are the worst.

The boss has stuck his head in the sand, yet again over the B.  Jr Boss, the biz manager, the sales staff, everyone, wants this woman gone, but the boss is afraid she'll find something to sue over.  Guess what?  The hostile work environment she creates is enough for any of the REST of us to sue over!  Will have to point that out to him later!  Forget calling me a pot head!

But, sucess is the best revenge, so will go out and kick some tail today with my trainee. Stick out tongue

Hope everyone has a good day!

Doing the happy dance for Bugsy !!

Karen - I'm trying to remember, was all of this a result of an injury or was it just normal wear and tear that affected his shoulder ??

Karen, I'm so thrilled for you and your DH and for Bugsy.  Enjoy your walk.  That motel reminds me of a few I've stayed in and the feeling of relief when you can pack up and leave is the best part.  Sad  Give Bugsy a big smooch whether he wants it or not. lol

Tina, so glad you found out what was going on and that you already feel better.  Yay for the siding project!!!!!  Big Smile  How's Buddy doing these days.

    I love DWTS too.  :)

I'm itching to go to the beach.

    How's Buddy doing these days.

He's doing well. It seemed for a time he was so-so, but after we got his uti cleared, he took an up-swing. He's not coughing, eating is normal, and still loves cuddling with me. That's about all I can ask for.

DWTS, I've never watched it, but the Sears appliance commercial that is a take-off from DWTS is pretty hilarious.

Saw the update on Bugsy!  Fantastic!  Good dog!!  Keeping the good thoughts coming for his successful rehab!

Totally sucks when you are  not comfortable in the hotel.  During all the time in Nov & then this month staying in hotels for competitions, I've been doing a small share of reviews.  Cleanliness counts for a LOT!  Also, good room heaters/air conditioners.  Old stinky ones can ruin everything!  Hope you enjoy your walk about.

No fun on the UTI, Tina.  Ugh!  Hope you get relief fast!

I know I'm not the only one... but don't you hate having to kiss your dog goodbye in the morning and really wishing you could just forget about work and stay with your dog?  I couldn't stop myself from heaping more kisses on her head.  Things for work are pretty much all over in Wisconsin so we are doing a whole lot of nothing.  I meet tomorrow w/an adviser for my resume.  Should prove useful.

It's a nice sunny day here!  I hope everyone else is getting the feeling that spring is coming!  Several friends across the country raise goats or sheep and seeing all the baby goat pictures lately is so fun!  Boinging baby goats jumping around enjoying life!  You gotta love spring time!  (Whenever it finally arrives!)

Well then!  The boss just sent me home since there's nothing to do!!!  aaahhh!!!  I drove 45mins to work 2 hours.  Luckily I get paid for a full day.  hmmm, what to do with myself??

You have all day? Play with dogs, of course! That's what Zeke has been telling me, at least, all week. I have spring break (which is why I have time to actually come here), so I have been trying to keep him busy.

I was going to go to the dog park this morning, as it was nice and sunny (though now it's not), but they were closed when I got there at 8:15. They open at 8:00, so I assumed they were, in fact, closed. Well, after I got home, I found out that the closed signs were from yesterday, and they did open today Angry I wasn't about to head back out. Half an hour in the car with Zeke is enough for one day. We'll try again later in the week.

Now, of course, Zeke is hyper since he saw the dog park. Anyone want to borrow him for the day? Stick out tongue

So glad to hear about Bugsy!

Tina - hope you feel better soon.

Not much is going on here.  Riley is off for Spring break so we are trying to figure out some fun things to do next week so neither of them go crazy LOL

That's about all I have right now :)

Hope everyone has a good day!

I rarely have to leave Shane home but yes, when I do, it makes me sad. I only leave him on the days DH is home though, so at least I know he's not home alone. This dog is SPOILED Big Smile

Karen - I am can't say it enough times but I'm so happy with the outcome of the surgery for Bugsy and huge kudos to you for perservering on this. I'll bet you're feeling like the weight of the world has been lifted.

Tina - UTIs are no fun!! I'm glad you're feeling better.

I like DWTS but there's just way too much talk for me to watch it unless I've DVR'd it and can skip through all that. I was watching it in bed last night for about 15 min's and never did seen anyone dance, so I turned it off and went to sleep.

I'm feeling more mindless than usual today Embarrassed

We always record it so we can fast forward through all the fill in chatter and stuff.  Last night we watched the last five minutes so we could see who was leaving.  lol

Yay for the great update about Bugsy!  Bummer about the less-than-ideal hotel, but if it's clean, that's priority #1 in my book, so it could've been worse.  Glad you'll be en route home very soon!

Paige -- what a nice treat -- an unexpected day off WITH pay?  Awesome!  But, being the wacko that I am, I'd end up being conflicted over what I should do -- something necessary and productive like a chore or errands, or something completely indulgent like curling up with Ruby and reading magazines (not that she'd tolerate that for long, but I could try).

I think we all feel guilty leaving our dogs behind when we leave the house.  I spend too much time trying to adjust my schedule to reduce those hours by not doing certain things after work, turning down weeknight invitations unless DH will be home, etc.

There's a guy in an office down the hall who brings his dog to work everyday (a small spaniel).  I came in the lobby with him this morning.  The dog is so cute and always pulling on his leash to bound up the stairs.  I said to the guy, "I wish I were that eager to come to work."  The guy said, "Me, too!"  Funny thing is he owns his own firm -- I guess he doesn't really like his job even though he's the boss!  I told him I couldn't bring Ruby here even if my bosses allowed it because she'd bark and pace and whine and drive everyone insane.

EZeke - I hope you find some way to burn off the excess excitement for your dog.  Ruby would react the same way if she was "teased" by a park view like that!

Whoever invented DVRs should win the Nobel Peace Prize.  I cannot watch live TV shows (other than news or sporting events).  Fast fowarding through ads and idiotic chatter is a must, especially on reality contest shows that get soooooo drawn out!
