     Hope B keeps doing well.

I'll have to ask my mom if she's been in touch with the neighbor at all, and perhaps see about bringing her over or something. Her kids are in and out of the house fixing it up because they're going to rent it out. They're going to have trouble doing that at the price they are asking though.

Speaking of elderly people, one of Luke's favorite people at the nursing home we visit passed away two weeks ago. It must have been a bit after we left that day.  He didn't look too good that day when we saw him, but I'm surprised he actually died later the same day. He was on the dementia floor. We never knew what he and Luke were talking about, but they always looked happy in their discussions.

Aww, I'm glad they got to visit one last time; I hope Luke's presence gave the man some special moments so soon before he passed.

Oh good!  I'm glad Karen feels comfortable with this clinic.  Been thinking about her and B all morning.

Called the Jr. Boss a bit ago.  He had sent out an email last night (at my request) saying that NO ONE is to go near that particular client today.  Todd hit the roof that I should be told to stay away from my own client.  Didn't see the rationalization when I told him that if he told the B to stay away from my client, she would think I'd won, and be even worse, that THIS way, she figured it was a standoff.  In the email he'd also said that he would speak with both of us today, so I called and offered him the chance to chew on me.  Devil.  Apparently he and the big boss had a rather long discussion about the B yesterday and Jr Boss is hoping that this is the last nail in the old coffin.  And, actually apologized to me that the B had reacted in such an ugly manner.  He said he could tell it upset me and that he knows not much of anything gets under my skin.

So.....I may be cracking open a good bottle of wine to celebrate tonight.  I soooo love my job, but this one person drives my stress levels right up into the stratsophere!   Fingers crossed anyway!

Hey!  Am I good or what?  My trainee, second day on the job, sold his first ad today!  OK, I did the heavy lifting, but still.  really upped his confidence!

Hope everyone is having a good day....

I updated completely in the vibes thread but we have success!! Bugsy is fine and should recover completely after 6-8 wks of leash walking only. So very glad I made this trip and chose this guy. Very, very up-to-date and complete professional. The whole setup is impressive. He saw something on the elbow X-ray that my normal vet did not and chose to check it out too. Turns out he had a recent injury to the elbow and not one but TWO torn tendons in his shoulder. I'll pick up B in the morning :)

I booked the cheapest, decently reviewed hotel I could. It is clean but perhaps the ugliest room and most dated room I have ever stayed in. It is adjacent to UVA and a cargo train line lol. Good thing I did buy libations at Trader Joes! Also a legendary greasy spoon is literally across the street, oh there's another train, directly across from my window. You could do good surveillance from here :). I will probably save myself from any more driving and walk across later.

The drive was basically uneventful. A few early drivers were not roadworthy and it was a trick to get away from them! I always love driving on I64 in VA, saw lots of flocks of wild turkeys in the partially snow covered fields. Very pretty. Also went back to where I used to live, if I win powerball I am moving to that road. Period.

that better not be true! :)

I called the place at 6:30ish to see if he had woken up properly yet, he was still on the morphine drip and in some warming blanket so no he hadn't lol. It was so cool to talk to this young woman, who was completely sweet and on the ball. She'll be with him all night and said oh give us a call, I assured her I would be asleep, but amazing how comforting it is to know they have at least two - she asked the other one a question- techs there all night, monitoring them.

My ugly little hotel room is crazy noisy, may be I should have stayed at the vets :)

What great news Karen for you and Bugsy. So glad to hear that everything went so well.

Glenda sorry about your co-worker situation.

I was excited today, as I saw a flock of Snow Geese flying over head. What a pretty site.

Yay Bugs! Hope the recovery is quick, and minimally torturous.

Gah!! Can she post the pics of Luke at the pull already. The person taking them is uploading a bit at a time, like one dog at a time. Several other dogs have come up, There are two of Callie, no Luke yet.  It's driving me crazy. He also stinks like mulch, since he rolled in some earlier. I need to post the pic of him doing it here.
