Working from home too. I need it after yesterday's office madness.

Karen, safe travels and surgery vibes.

Nothing worth mentioning going on over here.

I could literally not get out of bed this morning. I was sleeping with Riley (who had a bad dream) and when my phone alarm went off I had her snuggled up tight on one side and Charlie on the other. Both moaned in sync when I tried to move - so I fell back asleep. Amazing how not having to get ready for work and drive in the am really helps out. I slept in for almost an hour and was at the computer working almost an hour before I normally do. Sooo wonderful.

Well, my good Monday turned into a very unpleasant evening thanks to a coworker that was once again trying to steal one of my accounts and got caught red handed.  I happened to go into the office with my trainee and I always check the answering machine messages.  And, there was one from one of my clients returning coworkers call from Friday.  This gal does ONLY advertising for this particular client, so yeah, blatant theft attempt.  And then coworker LIED and said she'd never made the call....yeah this gal just picked her name and number out of thin air to irritate me.  Swore at me in email, told me I was smoking too much pot......oh yeah.  VERY pleasant evening.

I even forwarded my emails to another coworker and asked her to read and see if I was bitchy in any of them and if  owned the first coworker an apology.  I know I can be blunt and sometimes people don't "get it".  But, SHE said what I thought, perfectly polite, straightforward request.

Not looking forward to today.......and I'm training again.

Hope Karen and Bugsy made it safely to their destination.  Can't wait to get an update.

I dropped Rex off this morning for a dental.  He was pretty disappointed about the no breakfast thing this morning.  He's such a sweetie and trotted right off with the tech without a glance back at me.  lol Maybe he thought she was taking him to the food.

Another chilly morning here and DH was all worried about the tomato plants.  He's such a mother hen when it comes to the tomatoes.  lol

Yikes Glenda. That kind of work stress is so unneeded.

Lisa, yep it is wonderful. I am always up and working an hour before I normally would be.

I did have the weirdest dream last night. I can't remember the whole thing other than I woke up thinking my uncle just died (it was 1 am when I woke up). he does have a tterminal illness so that dream totally creeped me out. I need to send him a text or something ad make sure he is ok.

I swear, Beagles are the noisiest sleepers.  Jamison moans, snores, flutters his lips and makes all kinds of amusing sounds.  A couple of days ago I saw his hackles were raised and his feet were moving like he was running and he was making this kind of wimpering sound.  Does that mean he was having a bad dream ??

Has anybody heard from Karen yet ??

Julie, I definitely hate dreams that are so real. Freak me right out.

Jackie, I can't say I blame your DH mothering the tomato plants. That's usually the extent of my garden, so I can't afford to fail. LOL

DS was complaining about not being able to save any money, yet came home from work last night with a 6-pack of beer that cost about $11. I should have kept my mouth shut, but didn't. Angry

ETA: Deb, Jamison may not have been having a bad dream. It sounds like he was "in pursuit" of something.

All I've heard is her latest post on FB.  He's having his shoulder and elbow scoped.

ETA  She called and said she is very impressed with the clinic and most importantly, with the surgeon.  He saw some gunk in the elbow (from previous x rays) and wants to take a look to see if that needs to be cleaned up in addition to the bicep tendon.  She sounds very confident that things will go well.  Bugsy isn't having the surgery for a few hours so it will be a while until she knows anything more.  She told me to go ahead and update here because she knows everyone is waiting impatiently for news.

     Eeeek Glenda!

I had a vivid dream once about a conversation I had with the significant other.  It was so real, I actually had to ask him if we did talk lol.

I'm looking forward to my 4 day weekend.  I'm not on call and hopefully the weather will be nice.

well that's positive news about b and the surgeon. Thanks for the update

I was hoping there would be some news about Karen and Bugsy.  Glad they arrived safe & sound and that things sound encouraging so far!

Deb, Ruby does all those things in her sleep, too.  The lip flapping is the funniest.  She also barks with her mouth closed - it sounds like a higher pitched, muffled bark.  Since she loves to do zoomies and chase birds and such, I always assume she's running in her dreams when her paws paddle like that.  Goofy dogs!

Lisa, I can only imagine trying to drag yourself out of bed with a warm dog on one side and a cuddly little girl on the other!  I absolutely hate getting out of bed early, and every single weekday when I hear the alarm, I think to myself:  "I would pay someone big bucks right now if I could just go back to sleep for another hour or two."  I really should've given this issue more thought when I chose a career.  Having to be in an office by 8 or 9am requires a far earlier wake-up than my body likes.  I've always thought I'd enjoy a job with a swing shift.

Drizzly, grey day here.  Blech.  I'm getting a haircut and color after work.  Only the second time with a new stylist.  I liked her the first time and was fairly pleased with the cut, but it didn't grow out well and I'm having my usual frustrations.  I want to give her a couple more tries since she has to learn the idiosyncrasies of my hair (and my unreasonable expectations)!

Thanks for the update Jackie. I'll be thinking about Bugsy and Karen all day today. She did say she found a nice Trader Joes, so hopefully she bought something to relax with later this evening.

Good thoughts for Rex today too.

I never have insomnia but I sure had it last night. I feel for anyone who deals with it on a regular basis. The majority of my coworkers are off some or all of this week for spring break, so things are quiet. Even the drive in was smooth, so that was a pleasant surprise.

From yesterday -- if you're still lurking, Meg -- it was nice to hear from you!  Sounds like you're doing well and that you're doing great with school.  Come by and post a pic of Pirate and Wendy soon!

Also, Jen, I wanted to second what Paige said about your elderly friend who likes to watch DWTS.  If making arrangements to bring her to your house on show night isn't a good option, then maybe you can schedule time to talk on the phone each week to "compare notes" about the show.  Like Paige said, I think many seniors would welcome interaction with people outside of the obligatory family stuff -- especially if the family isn't ideal, as you described for this woman.

    Good toofer vibes for Rex!

Glenda, bummer about your coworker's actions.  I may be lonely in my tiny office, but I don't miss that kind of stuff!
