    Monday chat

betting there's another one started by the time I post this

another crappy weather day here and I have learned that today's snowstorm is effecting the area I am going tomorrow morning and it will likely still be snowing there tomorrow morning. Great nothing like a journey that starts at 4:30am all in snow

that's all I've got - lots to do before the day finishes so better get to it

Hope it won't be that bad for you Karen.

Back to reality today. I feel like I have been out of touch at work for 2 weeks. Even though I worked from home on Friday, I know I have a ton of stuff to catch up on especially organization (which is one of my biggest challenges. If I am not organized I am lost)

We have our euchre tourney today at lunch though. It is going to be a tough game. We barely beat this team last go around. If we win this we go on to the championship game.

I found a nice motivating game for Abbie using Hr last night. I put all 3 dogs in their car crates then set hr out in the yard and had neiko and lily search before abbie did. She hates it when they get to work and she doesn't so when it came to her turn she was all fired up. I did 3 short rounds moving the hr each time and she did it with lots of intensity which is great because she had been bored with search lately. After they all got frisbee tosses which was a mistake because the yard is quite muddy. But it did tire them all out for the night which was the goal. It can be a real challenge to tire these dogs out.

I have been battling ants the last few days and I can't figure out where they are coming from. It is driving me bonkers because there's not a lot of them. Maybe one or 2 an hour. My kitchen is spotless too so wth are they coming in for? I have bleached everything inside and out at least 5 times. I pulled out the oven and cleaned under and behind. Cleaned out the drawers and cabinets. There's no food out, I keep everything that is open in a container or zip lock bag instead of original boxes or bags. Gah. It is sicking me out!

Ok enough blabbering. Gotta hit the shower.

Good thoughts for Bugsy's surgery and vibes for safe travel, Karen.

Weekend was pretty dull, though I did stumble across the replay of episode one of "Bates Motel". Very bizarre, but might be dvr worthy.

Safe travels and good luck for Bugsy's surgery. There's been enough drama surrounding this thing already.

We've got snow here. My client for this afternoon cancelled because they are doing something today since they are on break. Another client, his siblings are on break this week, and he has break next week. Such stupidity of his school not to schedule theirs the same week as every other school in the area. Anyway, I guess they decided that since it's snowing, and the other kids are home, why should they bother to get up early to get him ready for school.  So now I got a message trying to get me to come today. Nope. If you think it was too snowy to send him to school (and it's not, it's barely anything) then I'm not coming out. Actually, I am not coming out because I decided I'd like a day of Spring Break to sit at home. My school clients are not in this week, so I don't see any of them, but I see all the home clients. I should probably get on some of the paperwork stuff for the school kids, and some for him.  Anyway, send your kid to school.

It's a pretty morning though a bit chilly for us.  Hope the snow doesn't last long and you have a safe trip, Karen.

I woke up at three and couldn't get back to sleep due to the snoring.  I sort of wished I snored so I could repay the favor now and then.  I do talk in my sleep sometimes.  Glad I don't have any deep dark secrets I'm hiding. lol

Julie,  tiring out three Aussies must be like tiring out ten regular dogs. lol  Glad to hear your method of getting abbie jealous worked.

Bates Hotel doesn't sound like something I'd ever watch.  My days of watching scary shows or movies ended many decades ago.  If I want to see bizarre scary stuff I watch the political news.

Good luck with Bugsy tomorrow, Karen.

You know what really grinds my gears ??  When people who don't have EZ Pass drive right for the EZ Pass toll lanes and then don't know what to do and wind up blocking the lane.

It's being billed as the prequel to "Psycho", how Norman Bates ended up so screwed up. It's not scary, but a psychologist's dream. And it's Motel.

ETA: Deb, I guess you weren't the big lottery winner on Saturday. Confused

How's it go ??  If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. Stick out tongue

I stand corrected but I still won't be watching. :)

Deb, have some pity.  I rarely travel anywhere that has toll roads and when I do and I see all the lanes and signs and lights, I freak a little. Embarrassed I haven't ever gone in the EZ pass lanes though because I figured that couldn't be right and in Texas they might shoot you if you get in the wrong lane. Wink

Because they definitely don't have big, huge signs telling you what lane to get it. Actually, I have never seen anyone do this.

Really ??  I see it at least once or twice a week.

I'm sorry about the snipe. Whatever it's called, each to her own.

Deb, I've seen people go into the wrong lane once or twice by me - but in their defense they're doing construction around the toll area and keep changing the lanes around and the signage wasn't great back then - even I was getting confused!  Otherwise, can't say I have seen that before in areas where it's better marked.

My hours have been cut to part time.  It's sucky.  So, I decided to work Mon-Wens and give myself a long weekend.  I can afford these hours for a little while thankfully, but not forever.

32 days until my long Maine weekend (with my mom, aunt, cousin and a couple other gals) and 60 days until our Bermuda cruise!

OMG I don't even travel toll roads often any more but I've seen the idiots time and time again. I am a total NY metropolitan area driver though - that means I have no patience for not being on the ball. Its what makes me so intolerant here of the buttheads who are never in the correct lane, and while still chatting on their phone gesture to you to let them in because they weren't paying attention. I love the look on their face when I gesture no I am not letting you in. hehehehe

Jackie the Texan solution isn't too extreme in my book LOL At least you realize that if you don't know much about EZPass its unlikely it applies to you.
