Monday moaning

    Monday moaning

Sleep was a bit elusive last night. I put chicken breasts in the crock pot last night and the house smelled overwhelmingly like chicken and I pretty much wanted to puke all night. It was too much. I hope my coworkers appreciate my lack of sleep last night over this. We are having an "eat your greens" Monday in honor of eating healthy and St patty's day. We are having a salad bar for lunch and I was in charge of the chicken. Mumford & sons is playing right now through slacker. Love them. I need to shake the cobwebs out of my head. I have a super intense day ahead and have to prepare a presentation for tomorrow.

Hope you wake up a bit Jewlie!  I slept well, but woke up feeling crappy.  My stomach is bothering me today.  I'm also pale looking with big bags under my eyes.  I don't have any client meetings planned for today and hopefully it stays that way, or my boss can go out and do it because I do not look well.  Not a good impression to make, when your in the business of caregiving!  It's really just my stomach though - otherwise I feel alright.

I have so much paperwork to get done today.  Hopefully, I can just hunker down and clear off my desk.  Starting with writing a termination letter.  I had to fire someone over the weekend, first time I've had to fire anyone.  It sucks.

I am registering RIley for kindergarten today.  It's cold outside and I am tired of it.

    That's all I have.

I'm right there with ya and we're supposed to get more snow tomorrow.  I'm over winter (though to be honest, I was over it about a week after it begun lol).

38* and raining here - not as cold as you Northerners but my least favorite weather - lived in this crap for 10 months a year in Manchester for 7 yrs and if I never dealt with it again I'd be fine. We will get a bit better later in the week but remain 15* or more below normal all week. It was freaking 75* on Saturday. sigh. Because its so late in the year when it finally gets sunny we'll go straight into upper 80's and 90's completely missing out the 60's and 70's.

I love the college basketball March Madness and am glad its starting. I have no great hope for UNC but I love the one and done format.

I am on the charge this morning trying to get a million things sorted out.

In order to fully wake up I added a shot of espresso to my 3rd cup of coffee LOL really

I was wide awake in bed last night with Bugsy and DH snoring loudly on either side of me. It was quite humorous but not conducive to sleep

Got together yesterday with my group of guy friends at the track and laughed so hard my face hurt. We didn't win much money but it sure did help me forget how freakin cold it was outside.

Uh oh.  I think I just heard the new guy hit the overhead garage door with his ladder rack as he backed out.

I won't say anything about our weather.  Cool

I really should have started my drive back home on Saturday.  I'm driving right into this winter storm Ukko crap.  :(  My friend said they could get 8-10 inches where she lives - where I am landing tonight.  yaaay!  Then follow it right to NH.  OH well, at least I am behind it instead of enveloped in it, right?

I am sorry to hear about Daisys passing. :(

    Crappy Monday everyone!

My mom just texted me a bit ago that sh was taking my dad to the er. I've got no clue why, but can I get the dogs out? I guess I'm not stopping by the library to pick up audio books today. I need to go home and take care of the long list of things I need to do, and keep plugging away at my state license crap until I have to go to see actual clients. Unless I don't go do that. Well, one I definitely will see. The other, the weather looks potentially crappy, so I don't know what I'll do with that.

Jen - I hope your dad is okay.

Paige - I hope you can make it home safely.

Jackie - I hope the garage door is okay - eek!

I will zip my lip about our weather too Zip it!

I need to go pick up some groceries and then later I'll take Shane for a walk on the trail. Other than that, I don't have any plans.

Well Jackie - I thought my Monday was blah but at least I didn't hit anything. The new guy and the garage is OK.

Well talk about craptastic  . . . I spent the whole morning out in the freezing cold directing the maintenance staff on where to hang our mourning buntings.  We lost one of our favorite Lts. last night due to a massive heart attack.  So sad.

    I'm so sorry, Deb.

The garage door is ok and so is the new guy.  lol

One of the guys who cleans up at the car wash next door came in and asked me to call to police.  This shocked me.  Not the reason he wanted me to call but that he must not have a cell phone.  lol  Seems some drunk passed out in his car that was parked in one of the wash bays.  His car engine was still running and there were beer cans all over the car.  In typical small town fashion, three police cars came screaming up, one fire truck, one ambulance and the fire chief.  Surprise  I doubt they could arrest him since technically he wasn't driving at the time.

Oh wow.  You guys are not having a great Monday.  Mine is fair to middlin but I always soooo look forward to the Monday sales meetings.  Not.  I'm really not fond of being the bad witch....and you can combine those letters any way you desire to come up with what I gots to be every Monday.  BUT, at least I was able to pass out a lot of praise this morning.  Most of us rocked last week.  One of us apparently never got out of bed last week.

Back to work.  Hope everyone's day gets better.

Jen, I hope your Dad is OK.

Deb, I'm sorry to hear about your coworker's death.  Was he fairly young?  DH recently heard of a man he knows through his work contacts who died of a massive heart attack.  He was in his late 40's/early 50's, without obvious health concerns like smoking or obesity.  Really tragic.

Tina, glad you had fun with your track buddies.  It's been a while since I've had one of those "face-hurting laughing sessions."  I could use one.  They're really good for the mood and outlook (and mine need serious adjusting).

Karen, the weather in Manchester sounds a lot like our weather here.  It may be naive to think this, but I feel like I could tolerate the months of gloomy weather a little bit better if I were in England . . . but I suppose it's depressing weather, no matter where you're experiencing it.

Julie, my sleep is affected by food smells, too.  I hate that.  The range hood over our stove is not very good, and when we have something for dinner that's extra "fragrant" and the odors linger, I'll have trouble sleeping.  In the summer with windows open, it's not usually an issue, but in the winter it's awful.  It doesn't help that our bedroom and the kitchen are both on the first floor, rather close together.
