The Border Collie next to us had second all but wrapped up - but then there was a 10 pt deduction for a station done incorrectly. In fact, there were about 4 others that could have been second except for the same thing - a 10 pt deduction for a single station done wrong. Looking at the scores and times, we were among the slowest of the whole bunch, and I wondered if perhaps others were trying to be fast (thinking there would be ties at the top) that things went wrong. I didn't worry much about speed - I was more concerned with her attitude. Gracie gets tired and pokey and she displayed it in her last run w/her typical failure to completely come straight front from sit in heel. Overall she was fine, obviously, but I know she was not on her a-game. So be it - there's no way we could have beaten the #1 team with perfect scores and the fastest times!
I found out he was the top 2011 All Breed Obedience Dog and All Breed Rally Dog in the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). He's an OTCH dog with UDX5 OM7 VER RAE12 in the American Kennel Club. Pretty impressive stuff!
The Border Collie was an OTCH VCD2 UDX4 OM6 VER RAE
