That's what I was thinking when I saw all that hair!!! Big Smile

The location does look beautiful (I love Gina's take: "outdoorsy";). I'm not much of a camper or hiker, but it's the kind of spot DH would love. If we weren't so far away from there, maybe I'd tell him to join you guys. He doesn't look quite like that swimwear model/cabana boy, but for a 50 year old, he's pretty easy on the eyes, in my opinion. And, he's split plenty of wood in his lifetime, so you guys could put him to work.

Joking aside, I think it's cool some of you will be gathering together for this getaway. I'll be eager to see photos of the trip!

Agree - the 1st picture made me throw up in my mouth. The 2nd is much more my style. I am more naturally a whiner about being outside unless I am in a pool with an ocean view LOL You guys will have an absolute blast though. And I am serious, if anyone is traveling there through Detroit stop by for a drink and to make out with Charlie :-)

Now see....that kinda vacation is right up my alley. I dont care for pools and beaches....cabana boys are ok tho. I would guess that they would need to be in decent shape like #2 I mean after they will have to "hike" in before catering to everyones whims, lol!

Hey, Lisa, you're not the only one. The scene from Private Benjamin when Goldie Hawn is marching in the rain talking about wanting to go out to lunch comes to mind.

I've got an idea . . . why don't DH and I fly out to Detroit, DH can go on the outdoorsy adventure with everyone else, and I'll hang out at your house with you (and Charlie), sipping drinks (and maybe sampling some of your famous ravioli??)!

AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! That would send even ME screaming out of the woods, and I go camping regularly. eeek... I am still shuddering and have skin crawlies thinking of that hairy dude..... eeewww!

Lisa you should come to South Padre Island, Tx...I am thinking we'll rent something this summer there and bring Miss Cleo. Lily had so much fun boogie boarding lol!

I'll start warming up the pasta maker!! Did I ever mention that my DH makes wine? Right now we have about 120 bottles of wine - three kinds of Reisling, an amazing Zin and two kinds of Pinot Noir. Come one come all. Gina - that completely sounds tempting. I think we are heading to Vegas this summer though since we both turn the BIG 4-0!!!! I have never been to Padre Island, but DH went in college. I guess he took a bus there from Michigan State U. Can you say long drive LOL? At least I think it was one of those big tour bus things.

Vegas is ALWAYS a good time. We tend to do non traditional Vegas stuff during the day (hiking at the Valley of Fire or Red Rock Canyon) but the night is pure fun!
