    Hello from MD/DC/VA

I've actually been on this forum a good long while and I dont think I took the time to introduce myself, so I thought I would do that now.

My name is Cate, and I am a resident on MD, spend half my home time in DC, and am a student at Virginia Tech - so my address is kind of confused.  I have two dogs of my own - and then another that I call mine - though he really is my father's dog.  His name is Jay - and he is a mix of unknown origin - we think maybe some Lab.  He is sort of our family angel - he has done alot for my father and my brother and I just by being our dog.  He has epilepsy - which showed itself at about 1 year of age - but he's on medication on it and is living the life of a fat, spoiled dog (though as much as I heckle Dad about Jay's weight...I think it has more to do with his medication than anything else).

Then there is Ruby :)  Ruby was born on April 10th 2007 and was imported to the US around this time last year.  She is a Berger Blanc Suisse - White Swiss Shepherd in english.  That is the seperate recognized breed that the whites have attained for themselves under the FCI.  She's a wonderful dog - she has a great temperment and takes alot of joy from working...She's basically everything I wanted in a bitch...she's also hysterical to play tricks on...though I dont think she really appreciates it.  Right now I am doing SchH, SDA and Herding with her...though I might take a play at Agility because she is rather pliable O.o  My goals with her are to try and title her in the BH and SchH1, SDA FO and PA, and the HGH and various other herding titles (probably AHBA).  She is also UKC CH. Pointed.

And finally that brings me to Leo : he's my youngest white baby - born on september 21st, 07 and he came to me in Feb.  He's my SchH baby - I want to take him as far as I can in that...and see how he does :)  He's a little more open than Ruby - where she's a little devious he's a little more goofy.  Lots of drive and a good solid temperment.  I'll probably do some herding with him but he is without a doubt my protection spot kid :p  Sadly I dont have any decent pics of him :(

And these are my three together :

I like their 'dirty' pic. My boy has epilepsy too, so I know the chubby puppy syndrome.
