Gaci and Shimmer go Home to Visit! (Kim_Mac)

So today marks three weeks since we moved out of home together. Since I had the day off, and because it was a beautiful day, mom invited me down for a BBQ supper, and asked if I wanted to bring the girls.

Having been separated for three weeks, I wasn't sure how they would react going back into the *pack*, but things went very smoothly, and the girls had a blast running and playing with friends again, having large off-leash romps in the backyard, and just having plain ole freedom. It was a great visit, and an opportunity to take a few pics since my camera is broken at this time.

How adorable they are! Looks like they had a great time visiting their friends and family. What a great yard! Put a couple GSDs in there and it wouldn't look that way for long! LOL

What is the difference between docking and leaving them natural....any special reason?

My family does not dock tails of their Mini's any more. When they first started out, they docked along with everyone else, as it was *what you did*. But now they (and I) strongly feel that it is in the best interests of the dogs to remain left fully intact. So they are not cropped, docked, and dewclaws are left intact. There is no need to remove such a beautiful, and important, body part, IMO. Some of the dogs you see in pictures are docked because they were early litters (Gaci is four years old, whereas Shimmer is one year old), or bought from other breeders who dock.

Teehee. The Mini's have their spots in the yard where they will dig craters. Surprisingly, the yard looks immaculate so far this year. You notice things so much more once you only see it once in a while...lol.
