What does your dog know?

    Cassidy:

    Stand
    Down

    Stay

    Be Nice
    Wanna go outside?
    Go to bed
    You hungry?
    Ok
    Gentle
    Go Find It
    Go get e'm
Where's....? (if I say, where's your toy? She looks for that, if I say where's Mirelle? she runs off to find Mirelle)
    What's that?
    Get a drink
    Thirsty?
Some other things Cassidy knows: Agility commands, like Tunnel, Up, Over, Tire, Weave, Walk (dogwalk), Teeter. And then we're working on training her with herding, she helps a lot to guard gates and can 'get' the cattle, too. She helps me by going to 'get' Mirelle and bring her back if the puppy doesn't come. She can wait and then retrieve something and bring it back, she's pretty good about going over jumps.

    Her tricks:
    Shake
    Roll Over
    Jump
    Which One?
    Crawl
    Catch

    Mirelle
    Sit
    Wait
    Down
    Roll
    Gentle
    Speak
    Shake
    Let's Go
    Heel

And of course they understand words like No, Yes, Good, Puppy, Dog, Bad,other silly nicknames...and probably many more words and phrases than we think they know.

My dog can do the normal stuff: sit, down, stay, wiat, leave it, come, walk nice on a leash, and the polite stuff like not jumping, etc.  She can sit and lie down at far distances, which is handy.

She knows fun stuff like: shake with Left and Right, wave with L or R. Back up, speak, turn on the tap lights, walk in a cicle around me, go to bed, take off my socks, get a toy, retrieve, "put your head down," sit pretty, get in, get out, "not in here" (means take that toy/treat to another room), touch, look (look aout the window), puppies (look at the TV), find it, stay close- which is not a heel but is a close off leash walk, snuggles (she can put her upper body on the couch to cuddle), get down,  "Get Amy" or my husband when asked. She can also "go around" if we want her to come to us on the other side of the coffee table for example, or if she's tangled on her tether, she can "go around" to get free- but she can't free herself unless we tell her to!
