 Gosh Joyce - what happened?  Not good being laid up when it's so hot!!  I hope you're doing well!!

What a FAST day.  sheesh!!

Oh, Joyce!  What a surprise to read your post.  I, too, was wondering if it was the same side you injured before.  I hope you didn't have another nasty fall that prompted the ER visit.  On the other hand, I'm glad the surgery is behind you.  I can't believe you're home already.  The couple people I know who've had hip replacements have a short stay in a rehab facility.  Is your house set up so you can get around okay (i.e., no stairs to get to the bedrooms or bathroom, etc.)?  Sending lots of fast recovery and healing vibes your way!!

Poor Ruby doesn't know what to do with this heat.  She LOVES lying outside either on the grass or on her Kuranda bed, but even in the shade, it's too hot.  She goes out for a few minutes, then comes back in and flops on the floor, cools off for a couple minutes, then goes back out again.  I'm going to tell my friend that I don't want to do an outdoor walk tonight.  As much as I hate going to the gym, at least it's got A/C.  I don't want to feel like I'm going to faint like I did yesterday after our morning walk!

Joyce, what an ordeal! How is your recovery going? Sending tons of good vibes and get well quickly wishes your way.

Karen, I do remember those bushes--you way overdid it yesterday! (It's not too hard to replace a chainsaw chain. I do have someone super-experienced do it, only because it will take me 18 times as long!) I'm glad Bugsy was able to "supervise" properly :-)

Ruby (and Tracy), when it gets too hot, I'd go for the AC, too! We've got rain and fog here, though they're saying it might, just might, clear up in a few days. Yeah!

I couldn't believe the news this morning about the firefighters. Such a huge loss.

I know I've forgotten a lot...so hugs for all who need them.

I took 57 photos today at Willa's last soccer game. I'm uploading them to my computer right now. I should have 1-2 good ones… hopefully. lol

We had to go with DISH with this house and I'd just figured everything out day before yesterday. I recorded a bunch of my favorite shows and was looking forward to watching them tonight and then they were gone :(. I went to the online chat with DISH support and they said the hard drive had failed and they'd ship us a new one. The tech wrapped up by asking if I wanted to add an additional service of some type for $5 a month. I typed back - seriously?? I'm not a happy customer right now and the last thing I want to do is add some additional service. The guy apologized but I just closed the window. I hope this isn't a sign of what it's going to be like with this company.
