This dog's body clock is killing me.

Speaking of litter mates, I happen to know her sister sleeps from about 10 p.m. to about 7 or 8!

Callie was a super early riser until a few weeks ago when she happened to snag a pie late at night, and she happened to sleep in. We found out she actually likes a snack at night. She was always getting up and going right out to pee, so we thought she really had to go. She went from sleeping till sometime between 5-6, to sleeping till around 7, sometimes even later. It hadn't mattered if she had been out last at 10 or 12, she would be up between 5-6. A little bit of food at night, and she all of a sudden sleeps another hour or more. We used to just feed her once a day, in the morning. Now she gets most of her food in the morning, and just a bit of it at night for dinner. Depending upon what your schedule is, feeding later at night could be worth a try.

Yesterday I split her dinner into 2. She got half at the regular time and half about 7:30. After all, it is a vicious cycle in which I cannot totally delay the meal because she is STARVING from eating early in the first place. She did sleep until 5:15. It's not the latest she's EVER slept, but later than usual. Today I split up her breakfast, in hopes I can delay dinner entirely. Let's see what happens. 4-5 wakeup is one thing when I have to work, but it's another during the summer!!
