Finally a sunny Sunday chat!

    Finally a sunny Sunday chat!

`Hmmm, I hope my lawn crew comes today, but I doubt it because we have had so many rainy days.  They are probably far behind.  I know there is a hose and sprinkler buried in there somewhere!  Next year I may have to change it to every 10 days...but then we'll probably be in a drought again.

Everyone must be sleeping in today!

    Nah just lazy :)

Sunny here too, which has created steam bath conditions.

I'm watching the French Open - Rafa Nadal is a fine looking young man :)

Finished my cleaning yesterday, I'll do some gardening soon.

Bugsy ran the craziest, silliest zoomies since last Fall probably - so good to see, even if other indications aren't as positive as I would hope at this point

I took Luke out to lure coursing this morning. He had a great time, and is now back at home lounging in bed again. I've got work later, and nothing else that I have planned.

Yay for Bugsy's zoomies!  If that isn't an expression of pure joy, I don't know what is.  Actually, in Ruby's case, sometimes it's an expression of frustration built up to the point of needing a huge release of pent up energy.  But she still has fun doing them!

Marty, DH would love if he could plan lawn mowing even once a week, nevermind every 10 days.  Sometimes he has to mow every 2 or 3 days because the grass grows so fast.  He grumbles, and I tell him it wouldn't be so bad if he quit watering it, but he likes a green lawn.  Can't have it both ways!

Another gorgeous day here.  We're eating a leisurely breakfast (including strawberries from yesterday's farmer's market).  We're not sure what we'll do today.  We talked about going to the hosta nursery.  We took them there once before and they loved seeing the display gardens.  They live in Wyoming, so lush, green gardens like that are not something they get to see at home.  Gee, wonder if I'll be able to leave without buying something???  Tongue Tied

I was watching some of it earlier.  His rituals crack me up.  Especially since he's had to speed them up.  lol

I'm glad B had some zoomie fun but sorry to hear you don't feel as positive about his recovery.

We've got the steambath conditions here too.  So humid and already almost 90 F.  Not very much I want to do outside in this weather but I have to tackle the insane weeds that are loving all the rain.  DH is mowing and trimming.

I could do without them all - especially the butt picking LOL But I think his body is fabulous :)

Tracy B's zoomies are sometimes an expression of frustration too

whew two hours of yard work in the steam bath are over!

DH is battling the lawn mower. Its an ongoing battle - something is wrong with the fuel feed but he won't take it in to be repaired - it keeps backfiring. Bugsy has decided that backfiring is like gunfire so he is desperate to get out and retrieve whatever has been shot Confused

LOL Bugsy. I was sure you were going to say the backfiring was scaring him and he wanted to hide..but then I remembered it's Bugsy :)

I don't know if the successive days of packing & moving or the long, hot day at Horse Expo took their toll on me but I am dragging badly. I've packed several more boxes, have the car loaded up and when DH gets back from his bike ride, we'll head over to the new house. Then I'll need to unpack the boxes but I hope to do it in a hurry and get back in time for a nap.

It is about 20 degrees cooler and quite breezy, so a welcome relief from yesterday. I'm super bummed that I can't be back at the Horse Expo today. It was my version of going to Disneyland but I didn't see or do as much as I'd have liked because of the heat. Not surprisingly, they had quite a few vendors selling horse & dog food or treats and a lot of vendors selling jewelry or artwork. I heard there was someone selling handmade pottery but it was in another building and I never found it. In light of the move, it was probably for the best.

beautiful day here. Cathy, I am jealous of you moving into your new house! Even though I know it is a lot of work. It will be well worth it!

I'm happy to report that my weeds are doing great. They are growing healthy and strong! Embarrassed

I just got home from a weekend away. The dogs are sacked out from all the excitement.  Our weekend was jam packed though and we were up until 1 a.m. each night then up at 6ish each morning getting ready to go again. The dogs got lots of running and swimming in so they are content little puppies.

I missed my bike ride though on sat which bums me out a bit. I should probably call a friend and see if she wants to hit the trails. Or.....I could take a nap heh.

I think it got to the mid 80s today, which is a welcome change from yesterday and Friday. Now it's about 77 so it should  be a pretty pleasant night.

I went to a tea this afternoon with a neighbor (a fundraiser for Yolo Crisis Nursery) and when I got home I discovered that DS #2 had spread all 12 of those bags of  bark for me so now I just have to stop by Home Depot and pick up about 8 more.

On the TV ads for tonight's "Army Wives" I noticed they've been saying "season finale" instead of series finale, so I'm wondering if they decided to give it another season.  I sure hope so.

I am baked and cooked out! I am throwing a bridal shower for my girlfriend at work tomorrow. Combine that with my normal Sunday baking/cooking. I have been in the kitchen doing something since 11:00 am.

I made: - The most amazing chocolate cookies I have ever eaten - no kidding they are awesome thank you martha stewart

    - Chocoate covered marshmellow pops

    - Stained glass sugar cookie hearts (sugar cookies with the middles cut out and jolly rancher melted in the middle)

    - Crustless spinach, feta and zucchini quiche (this is for lunches this week)

    - Chicken with artichokes, tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil (this was for dinner)

I also got a cake from Costco. Hopefully it will be enough. I swear if anyone complains I am going to pop them in the chops.

It was a good weekend. I have to ready through and see what everyone was up to. Hopefully everyone and every pup is doing well.
