Rest in peace, Brown -- your family is full of love for you. And Junior? Now Paul McCartney and "Down at Junior's Farm" is running thru my head!! Welcome, Junior!! May your timing ALWAYS be so good!!

Awwww, what sweet pics of Brown.  I assume that's your daughter petting him?  How old is she?  Is she handling his loss okay?  When our friends had to euthanize their dog a few years ago, their daughter was about 6 or 7.  She did quite well with the goodbye.  I suppose young children are more resilient about such things than we adults are.

And Junior is a cute dog ---- I like his coloring.  I know he can't fill the space in your heart that Brown left, but opening your home to him may soothe some of the heartache as each day passes.  He'll soon learn he was lucky to find his way to you!

Addisen is five now. I know young children don't understand death, and she is very matter-of-fact about everything, so she's been much better about this than we have been. When all of this was going on, I explained everything to her in real terms and told her what euthanasia was any why its done. Then I told her that she could come with us if she wanted to but that it was okay if she didn't want to. She decided not to and said her goodbyes before we left. Junior, meanwhile, is at least making us laugh with his loud mouth. I think he's actually made Tar bark less. I guess Tar figures he can't compete with that noise. The other dogs all seem okay, although Grey is bumming around some. They were together for 10 years so I guess he has the right to be sad.

Marlania -- probably the reason "Junior's Farm" resonated so with me was b/c we were going to see McCartney tonight down at the new Arena -- and the second song he sang was ... JUNIOR'S FARM!!! *smile* I nudged my husband and said "remind me to tell you about Junior later". So you guys were thought of again tonight!!

Nice to see Brown, especially on his last 'good' day.  RIP sweet boy.

Junior looks like he loves to make folks laugh!  Just what you need at this time, I suspect.  Any decisions made yet about his future?  Thank you for opening your home to him at this time.

Precious pictures of Brown and your daughter. I know how difficult those last days can be and I'm sure your heart is still hurting. It's been over a year since we lost Sassy and yet when I look at the pictures of Brown, it makes me want to cry still. (((Hugs)))

Junior looks like quite a character and as Callie said, his timing is perfect!
