otherwise you'd have his "beach focus" to deal with, too!  He'd be like a little kid, repeatedly asking:  "How many days until we leave, Mom?"  Big Smile

interestingly he IS fairly concerned when I leave - its not funny because he is completely psycho when he gathers a trip is happening. So every time I grab my keys he starts the spinning/whining. Seriously don't get me wrong folks but my next dog needs to be more normal than B.

sigh. I just want to go to the beach now. this work crap sucks

Define normal. lol  Aren't you the same person who is so in love with GSPs?  Have you forgotten the article you sent me?  The one about how they dive through barbed wire fences and keep hunting even when large flaps of skin are flapping and the way they ignore skunk spray and porcupine quills, snakebite, anything, to keep hunting.  The way they chew their way through kennels and trucks if left behind.  That breed?  lol  You know I'm teasing you of course because there will never be another dog like Bugsy. They're all unique and crazy in their own way. :)

Sharon, I hope the call went well.  We're waiting to hear but as Karen said we're behind you whatever happens.

Cathy, I'd be totally freaking too but things will all fall into place.  Fingers crossed that it all works out exactly as planned.

Julie, good luck tomorrow.  Sounds very stressful.

I didn't get the job - he called to personally tell me that which was nice.  So, I'm disappointed but truthfully I was surprised I made it as far as I did.  In my current job, I'll be picking up bookkeeping, HR and office management experience so I'm very happy with that - plus I'm back up to full time.  I'll be sticking it out with my current employer unless something else opens up at the university.  I'm a firm believer everything happens for a reason, so I may be disappointed I know everything will work out just fine.  Besides, I manage an office now, that makes the control freak in me a happy girl Stick out tongue

Bummer Sharon, I love your attitude and you are right..... But I know it still stings. (((Hugs)))

Hmm Jackie that may have been someone else that sent that article :)

Definitely fledgling season, there were two baby goldfinch hopping about earlier.

Me too!  I'm sorry you didn't get the job but very impressed with your great attitude.  It's clear you made a very positive impression on the people who interviewed you or you wouldn't have made it past the initial round.

Jackie I am so laughing at your teasing Karen about normal dogs lol. That is so true, what is normal anyway? And b is a charmer :)

Bummer Sharon! I thought for sure you had it with all those interviews. That was brutal! However, I am glad that things took and upswing at your current job. Keep up with the great attitude :)

Abbie keeps trying to eat bumblebees despite me telling her over and over that is not a good idea. A sting is inevitable I'm sure.

. I just took all 3 dogs racing around the neighborhood with the walky dog. Abbie is part sled dog I swear. She goes full speed and does not want to slow down ever. Then when we get done she just wiggles and grins with her tongue hanging out. Why did I wait so long to get one of these things? I am going to start wearing my helmet though. With the speed we are going, if some dog runs out into the street after us I would be toast. It reminds me of rollerblading with Dakota. So fun :) and man it is nice to have 3 dogs tired out in such a short amount of time. It's impossible to do with just leash walking or even off leash hiking.

Sharon, I'm sorry you didn't get the job.  Like the others said, I admire your positive attitude, and I'm sure it makes things a bit less disappointing to have the new position with your existing employer, with the challenges and learning opportunities it'll bring.

I have to say that I'm surprised that someone called you directly --- that's really great.  A couple good friends have gone through long job hunts in the past year or two, and they both were finalists for some jobs (after multiple interviews).  After the final interviews, they never heard another thing from the potential employers about not being selected -- not even a form letter or impersonal phone call from a random HR person.  So, to get a personal call (from the VP himself!) --- it shows he's considerate of your time and feelings AND that he was impressed with you enough to treat you with respect all the way to the end of the process.  It's a good sign that he'd be a good persont to work for, if another position ever opens up.  And you never know --- maybe the person they hired won't work out, and they'll call you in the future!

Grrr. I'm trying to post kid pics but they aren't showing up. I am using the direct link from Photobucket, which I've always used for photos here. I REALLY hope the forum update, whenever that is going to happen, will fix this annoying problem. No
