    Not exactly new...

I returned here a couple of weeks ago but haven't been very active. However, several years ago, I posted here frequently. I was surprised to see several people and their dogs who are still around. I remember Shadow the Rottie, Rupert...I also remember a white shepard named Blue because he had a cute little black mustache. I haven't run across his picture yet so I'm not sure if this person is still around. Do any of you older members know who I'm talking about?

MARLANIA!! HI! Where have you been? How are the fur kids? How's Addisen? Big Smile

Yes, Blue is still around and has a sister named Jazz.

*waving* Hey Marlania -- nice to see you!!

Hi, Marlania -- I remember you!  Nice to "see" you here again!  Hope all is well with you.

I've been here since 2005, but our dog, Tonka, passed away about a year after I joined the forum.  I was without a dog for several years, but still hung around.  We adopted Ruby 2 years ago (she's in my avatar).

I always loved Blue's mustache, too.  I haven't seen his person here in a long time; a lot of the old regular members moved over to Facebook.  I'm not on FB, so I haven't seen those folks/dogs in a long time.

    Welcome back!

*waving* I remember you well, especially your signature. You were around when the forum switched over and we all lost our post count. I hope you'll stay. There have been many new additions but I think you'll love them all. :)

Yep, I was here when that happened. My crew has expanded a bit from way back when. Addisen is five now, which is still hard for me to believe. Brown is 14 and driving me bananas. His thyroid meds have given him so much energy that he's doing stuff he hasn't done in years, like demolishing the garbage (which is hidden in a cabinet). Ever since his thyroid went wacky, his vestibular system's been thrown off, so he is very wobbly and slams into furniture and walls some days. Other days, he's totally fine. Grey is 12 and ran me over coming up the steps just the other day. There's no slowing him down. Tar is still barking his fool head off just because he can. Chip learned how to climb the fence. I don't know what to do about that because nothing has worked so far. And then there's Spudge, the random Puggle I found on the side of the road in a popular dumping spot. He is the poster child for Little Man's Syndrome. He fights to the death to get the tug rope away from Tar, and all the while Tar just stands there exerting zero effort because he's like five times Spudge's size.

Hi Marlania, good to see you!!!  Glad to hear the update on the animals.

I have a student going through a similar change in behavior once her dog's thyroid was corrected.  We used to joke that the dog was baked all the time b/c he was so slow and pokey and lethargic.  Now he's rarin' to go!  At 8+years old!

Puggle! :)  I live with a pug now who totally rules over a big male Dobe who otherwise kicks any other dog's butt when he meets them.

Got any new pics of the "kids"?
