I actually find the idea of giving up milk easier than giving up cheese. Has anyone else ever looked into the whole industry?

Yeah -- first off I've moderated a vegan website for about 15 years (and No, I am *not* veg*n of any sort).  But I have tried it -- and particularly with psoriasis and dermatitis some dermatologists are convinced if you will simply give up dairy you're cured.  No ... not me (and I HAVE done it but no no avail).

Be **very** cautious Cathy -- we women wind up with osteoporosis SO easily and the most readily available source of calcium is dairy. So you can cause some un-thought-of side effects by ruling dairy out of your life without making sure you eat the right combination of foods to compensate.

There are certain cheese I love, and a lot of it I never eat.  My husband thinks I'm totally looney -- I will order French Onion soup with no bread/crouton and no cheese.  Particularly if it's just mozarella on top.  We're all so different.

And NOW I have to face the lunch I brought which is **NOT** PB&J and I would **so** rather have PB&J now!! LOL  (Creamy Jiff with my freezer strawberry jam .... *sigh*)

Right but I've currently started drinking almond milk (only because I love the taste) and it has more calcium than dairy milk. I'll probably find out something negative about that too though ;). I felt really naive as Kathy was describing how a dairy farm runs and how the male babies are taken away from their mom immediately after being born and shipped off for ? and how traumatic it is for the mother :(. On a happier note, when we were at the farm, the several cows they have were hanging out only about 30 feet away and when Kathy would sing out "cows! cows! cows!" they'd all start mooing like crazy. It was funny and super sweet.

I love PB but I really prefer honey instead of jelly.  If I am having jelly it is definately strawberry   My granny (rip) used to give us "Peanutiest"  her special word for  PB/honey/butter on white bread.  It is a fond memory.

I have missed you guys, we have been busy here.  Hope everyone is happy and healthy......

cold and rainy here today, look out it's going east.

    Gotta run....

Great video about a hero-dog named Rocky  :)

I'm now craving a peanut butter sandwich.  I too only like creamy Jiff.  Only, I don't like jam or jelly at all on it.  I like mine with banana!  A huge glass of iced milk always accompanies such a sandwich for me.

I have Wednesday and Thursday off this week from work.  Not sure what to do.  I'll definitely go out walking with Ari, but I'm getting bored of just walking the road we live on.  Not much else to do though.  It's approaching mud season, so some trails can't be walked yet.  I don't hike mountains or trails where there may be any ice.  I'm too much of a klutz and I've sprained my ankles enough over the years!  I can't bring Ari yet off leash on any the fields nearby, because the temptation to run into the river would be too great for her.

I don't drink milk - ever. Had a orthopedic doc tell me that yogurt has more calcium than milk so I am going with that. Plus I take calcium pills. The only time I did drink it was when I was pregnant with Riley and then it was only chocolate milk :)

I would be very hard pressed to give up dairy.  I always have milk with meals.

PB...oh yes.  Either really soft white bread (the mushy stuff) or very fresh hot dog roll, chunky with a bit of raspberry preserve and cream cheese.  Heaven.
