the planning, making a thermos of coffee, remember the bug spray and blankets  ...
I can think of many things I associate with Easter:  baskets, bunnies, jelly beans, eggs, pastel colors . . . but that's the first time I've heard "bug spray" involved in an Easter celebration!  Big Smile

*chuckle* you got the joke! LOL I wondered if anyone would pick up on that -- last year we were SOOOOOOO popular with all the folks sitting near us because WE had "off" and were willing to share.  We've just done it enough years to know we're sorry when we don't bring it.  Don't often need it but when we do??  I don't want to hear them punctuate the "amens" with slapping skeeters LOL  My good deed for the day?

There are certain parts of Floooor-da that are SOO "senior citizens paradise" and the Lake Wales area is a biggie.  It's also the land of 10,000 churches, so David and I do our share of giggling while we're there.

It IS soooo gorgeous.  Sometimes it makes me a bit sad -- people throng to Florida to see Disney et al ... but most of the time they miss the incredible beauty that is here.  Swamp?  yes ... but the flora & fauna are incredible

We had a rainbow this evening. It was gorgeous.

I am in a spring cleaning mood. I wanted to open up the house to air it out, but I'm not sure it's really warm enough. Mozey did get a bath, which she doesn't like but she loves feeling good afterwards. (The treats helped, too!)

I hope the sick ones feel better. It is no fun feeling sick.

Bugsy, good job finding the squeekers and "killing" the snake! Karen, I'm so glad he's on the mend. Bugsy, let your mama do the exercises with you so you can run zoomies soon.

    Mushrooms??? Yuck--that's just gross.

The sunrise service sounds beautiful, Callie. Do enjoy!

I'm glad Abbie is OK! And, good Max!

Doug, my springer was very good at bringing in water (and mud), too. But, she had so much fun.

I know I forgot a lot--good vibes and hugs for all who need them.

Callie - that sounds like a beautiful way to celebrate Easter and I love that you guys have so many traditions. Enjoy!!

Ewwwww about the mushrooms growing in your sister's house Ick!

Mexican food was awesome!! and I even have leftovers for tomorrow. We did some yard work before we left and couldn't ask for better weather.

Hi, Kate!  I was thinking of you today because on my drive home from work, I passed a woman walking a dog that reminded me of Mozey.

We've had great weather this afternoon.  My friend and I took Ruby for a walk when we got home.  She wore shorts, and I should have, because it was warm (close to 70, felt much warmer in the sun).  We took our usual route through the dense neighborhood, but one street goes along a wooded area, and it was like a nature walk today.  We saw a red-tailed hawk, and we saw 4 or 5 deer.  First they crossed at the far end of the street where we were, then when we looped back around, we saw them crossing again.  Luckily, Ruby didn't see them.  Then we saw a coyote trotting along the hillside above the wooded area.  When we walk at night, we often hear them howling or whatever you call it.  Sometimes we hear several young ones making yipping noises.  It sounds really cool.

DH is gone overnight, so Ruby and I will have a quiet night watching a movie.

Edited for spelling, as well as to say I'm glad your niece is at your house, Jen.

I think it got up to 45 here today and it was sunny, so for about an hour I had a window open in each room of the house. Good bye germy air! It felt pretty good. Everyone is on the mend... *frantically knocking on wood*
