Tina, I love "Bates Motel". Psycho was one of my all time favorite movies. I have the DVR set to "series recording" so I don't have to remember it myself.
Marty, sugar isn't the only thing that's short changing us. What used to be a gallon of bleach is now 3 qts. and good luck trying to find a l lb. can of coffee ... they're all 12 or 13 oz.
Karen, great news about B!
They announced on the news earlier that this has been the driest Jan., Feb. & Mar. since 1932, so unless we get a dump of rain in April, we in for a drought year. CA gets the bulk of its water from melting snow packs in the Sierras, but there's hardly any snow packs left. There was also a horrific crash on I-80 in Davis today, involving a big truck and two cars. Two people were killed and I-80 was closed in both directions for awhile then in one direction for about 7 hrs. Can you imagine being stuck in something like that?
Now I have to tell you what Max did. I came home a couple of days ago and the side gate was propped open and there was a strange man in the yard picking up tree limbs. My next door neighbor had her trees trimmed, and while one of the guys was up in a tree with an electric saw, the other one came in the yard to pick up what had fallen on my side. Anyway, he tells me he saw a doggy door but never saw a dog. At first I wondered if Max had a stroke or something because as soon as anyone comes in the yard, he's out there making a new friend. When I went inside, he was in the dining room watching through the sliding door. He's so used to not being able to go outside when the yard guys are here that he just figured "guy with noisy tool outside means Max stays inside." The noisy tool was actually up in a tree one yard over, but it was still loud enough for him to make that connection.
