Wednesday chat

I'm going to meet my student in a bit at Panera. I'm so excited, because I want to try the new pasta. Yeah... that's the type of stuff that thrills me.I hope I have some dry pants till I need to leave in a bit.

Luke went out this morning to visit my friend at work at the daycare.  Speaking of Luke, I think I should maybe check in to getting his hips and patellas x-rayed. I probably should have done that a while ago, but I only recently found out about the health clinics. He went to one last year to get his heart and eyes checked. There's one hosted by the cavalier club in April at a vet clinic right in town where they will be doing the x-rays.

Oh and, she still hasn't put up the pictures of Luke pulling. She must not even be half way through I'm sure. She has 126 pics, and she only has 13 dogs uploaded. I'm pretty sure there had to be somewhere close to 3x that number of dogs between the novice and pro classes. I guess he'll be uploaded eventually, but I would love the photo evidence of him pulling the cart.

Alright, off to check if I have dry pants to wear.

Geez, I feel like a teenaged boy. Worked like a dog to get all the money together for the siding and it's gone in 3 seconds flat.

ROFL!  Took me a few seconds to get it but that's pretty funny.  It will be worth it.  Much more than a teenage boy's three second experience.

Sorry about the utilities Tina but at least you are getting the siding done!

Totally agree on the too much talk time on dwts. Same with commercials. American Idol is like that too. So many flipping commercials. I can't watch regular TV because of it which us why I don't have cable and stick with Netflix and hulu.

I did a building search at training with abbie tonight and little did I know there would be rat poison in there. Of course abbie went right to it. It was in a pvc tube and I don't think she actually ate any but I am sure she got a link or 2 in. Gave me a freaking heart attack. I hope she doesn't get sick from it. This is why she will never be a building search dog. She is too attracted to stuff that would cause her harm and you just never know in an urban building or disaster type of situation.

Someone posted that a dog was poisoned "at Nationals", but it was actually at a hotel where the owners eventually found 7 packets of rat poison around the room.  I guess I would mark that as a NOT dog-friendly hotel!  Big difference btwn "someone poisoned the dog" and "the dog got into rat poison"  The owners of the agility dog took the dog to the emergency vet and caught things in time, but the dog will be on treatments for several weeks.  I hope Abbie didn't even get a lick of it!  ugh!

As for my day, yes, I spent a good deal w/dogs and doing errands.  Something compelled me to go to the local pet store that sells puppies.  Under new ownership.  I used to go in there to checking for sick puppies (like I could do much).  After playing bitey-hands w/a pug, I went to see an English Bulldog w/a messed up hind leg that she sort of dragged.  Poor kid.  I gave her some massage.  Kept running errands (although my car is still filthy with salt, so that remains on my to-do list) Stopped to get raw food for my friend and visited w/ Bugsy the Bull Terrier. Bought a bunch of Legos at Toys-R-Us (BOGO 1/2 off) Bought some frames at Kohls to use at the training shop for some pictures from Nationals. :D  Overall, a decent paid day off.
