Monday moaning

My Monday has gotten better in the respect my stomach stopped hurting.  I, however, get to fire another employee whenever they get around to calling me back.  What is wrong with people lately?!?  Sometimes being a supervisor is no fun.

I can't wait to get home and take Ari for a long walk.  That will help me unwind.  That and the Oatmeal Stout I have every intention of cracking open with dinner

Wow!  I had a lot of catching up to do.  Not only was my jury duty not canceled, but I actually got selected for the jury so I was at the courthouse for three days.  It was really interesting and a lot more fun than the usual, which is hang around the courthouse all morning, go to Steve's Pizza for lunch, then hang around the courthouse all afternoon until 4:00.

Hope everyone had a "fun" St. Pat's Day. Someone in the OddFellows cooks up a complete dinner with all the fixin's, including Irish soda bread for $10 and that includes wine and Irish beer.  Too good to pass up. DS #2 didn't go because he doesn't like corned beef.  DS #1 isn't crazy about it either, but he didn't want to miss out on the rest of the fun so he came with his family and a couple of his in-laws and my neighbor came.  Great fun.

It's definitely cooler and more overcast today and they're talking about rain coming in a day or two.  We actually need more rain, so nobody will be complaining about it when it happens.

They sent my dad home today. I'm not quite sure what the issue was, as my mom didn't really explain it well. I think he was dehydrated, and well, my dad just takes tons of medications. He also lost a bunch of weight recently, and even though he could afford to lose it, he really lost it too fast, so that sort of screws up the medications. 

I have to get my stupid state license. When I called today, and I had to call the board of medicine, the woman told me I need to email. I have a feeling this isn't going to be easy. Why the heck is the board of medicine in charge of this? Nobody knows.

 Oh someone please save me.  My idiot sister, the older idiot, apparently the other day asked my mom what she thought about a guinea pig as a pet for my two year old niece. My mom told her it was a horrible idea. Apparently, idiot brother in law wants a pet. They got rid of their cat because it was peeing and pooping all over the place. They at least gave it to a friend who had no little kids. My brother in law doesn't watch his own damn kid. If he's not at work or school, he often just lets my niece stay here instead of taking her and watching his own kid. I already told my sister before she was absolutely not getting a dog, because I was not about to end up with the do when she decided she was tired of it. This is the same idiot sister who called my mom to take my niece the other day because she couldn't take her anymore. Clearly not someone who needs a dog. The actual problem is her husband, but well, whatever. Anyway, the right pet for her is maybe a betta. Maybe some little neon tetras or something similar. I have two small tanks that she likes. I let her feed them (with lots of supervision, and hide the food otherwise) and she likes to do that. She likes to watch them, and she likes to get little tank ornaments sometimes to put in there. We already have the three dogs and a cat here, and she's here often enough. That's all the pets she needs. If idiot asks me, I'll have to tell her, she is getting nothing, since I refuse to take responsibility for it when she decides to give it up.
