    Really Need Vibes!!

Brianna's littermate Brandon, who I also dogsit for, was rushed to the emergency vet tonight.

He hadn't eaten all day, he's even skinnier then Brianna normally, barely drank any water, was dry heaving and then poo'ed a huge stream of blood. His owner rushed him to the vet and he is dehydrated. They're keeping him overnight and I have no idea what else they're doing or have done for him. I'm still trying to get that info.

Please, any and all vibes are needed for Brandon.

Oh my word!!  I was about to light my special dog.com candle for him, but it's packed.  Sending good vibes that they find the cause quickly so they can administer the solution faster.  Wowsa!

There's no obstruction, bloodwork came back good, his temperature is good. They put him on a mild antibiotic.

They think it's something he ate...

    Oh no!  Poor Brandon.

We're streaming good thoughts his way.

Vibes coming!   How terrifying !!!!  I do hope it's nothing major and long lasting.

Anytime there is a huge amount of blood/boody diarreha it always makes me think of pancreatitis or similar.  They can feel REALLY sick with it and avoiding food wouldn't be uncommon (also bloody vomit isn't unusual).

Bloodwork -- not just a little but a full panel generally helps point it out (amylase/lipase will be in a one double of the other ratio almost scarey close -- that usually points to pancreatitis).  They can get SO sick SO fast. (had it more than once *sigh* in two different dogs)

My internet connection dropped so I'm posting from my phone They ruled out pancreatitis. Not sure how though. His mom is confident he'll be fine. They think he ate something he shouldn't. He's so picky I can't imagine it...

I'm getting here late but glad to see he's doing OK.  Willow loves to eat the first or second stage meat baby foods when she's recovering from a stomach thing if they need an idea of what to give him.

Late as usual, but I wanted to let you know that I'm sending all the vibes I can.  Blood is scary.  Feel better little boy.

Me, too, but hoping he improves.

He is still improving. He's not liking the prescription food too much but at least he hasn't been sick again.

Good to hear he's improving.  Still no word on a cause yet?
