    Prayers and vibes for my supervisor's daughter - shadowsgin - update 090910- diagosis

    If you could please send prayers and good vibes to my supervisor's daughter, Meredith.   She has been having some problems that might appear to be MS.   She is 25 the symtoms began around November all tests have been done and still no diagnosis.  Those of you, like myself, that have had friends or loved ones diagnosed with MS can identify with their need to "know" something.  She has an appointment at the Mayo Clinic tomorrow.

    They will travel today and see Doctors tomorrow.  Please send good travel vibes.   I hope that they get some answers this time.   Meredith is about 25, she and her high sweetie just married last month and her last episode was the worst and it happen 1 week after their honeymoon.  Her new husband is a childhood lukemia survivor.  They are accustomed to dealing with health issues, as long as they know what they are dealing with.

    Thanks all;

    On another note a co-worker is concern about her father who is to find out today about some tests that were run last week.  He is a cancer survivor and their is some possibility that the cancer is back.  Please say a prayer for this family too.  He is the sweetest man.

    That stinks. I have a sister with MS and from what I can tell, if you HAVE to have it remitting/recurring is better than progressive.  Prayers for that family, and also for the cancer survivor.

    My thoughts, prayers and safe travel/healing vibes are going out to her.  I hope she gets some answers...it's awefull having to wait on results like these.

    Prayers and good thots on the way.   MS is one of those diseases that the more you know the better -- often DOCTORS really aren't informed about it and it touches every area of life.  If you have a cold certain things are "different" when you have MS (the meds and the fact that the whole nervous system is affected by the MS so even how you 'feel' is altered by the MS many times).

    Good vibes going out to your supervisor's daughter.  Earlier this year I worked for a short time with a young woman who has MS -- it was really interesting to hear her talk about some of the things she'd learned since her diagnosis.  She was in very good health, and I never would've known her condition had she not told me.  She was very attentive to all kinds of things in her life that she knew affected her health -- diet, stress, exercise.  I hope there's positive news for your acquaintance.

    Co-workers Father got good news.  The nodules? they have been watching have not changed.  They have a little concern  about some weight loss but may just be because of the heat, not eating as much, also has always had some problems with esophegus.

    Meredith and her family made it safely to the Mayo her appointment is this morning.  Please keep her in your thoughts today.

    My Mom has MS, its a very weird and undescribable disease.   I can so appreciate that the knowing and dealing with any type of disease is so much a relief than not knowing anything.   Some Doctors even suggested to my Mom, many years ago, it was all in her head!  This made her more upset and stressed which exaserbated the MS symtoms.  When she was finally diagnosed there was a sense of relief at least we knew what we were dealing with and could begin educating ourselves.

    Thanks for you prayers and good vibes, as always you guys are the best!

    My best friend's sister has MS (late stages at this point) -    there is a lot of frustration b/c it is so poorly understood.  Chris is in a nursing home now and she's been there since she was 54.  The caretakers just don't know how to deal with a LOT of it b/c it's not age, it's neural malfunction.  It's very frustrating.

    However, am really glad the other news was good -- what a relief!!!

    Gin, I'm so very relieved that your co-worker's father had good news & glad that Meredith got to the Mayo Clinic safely.  They are still in my thoughts.

    No word yet on Meredith other than they have seen several Dr.'s and had some tests.  We are still waiting for a diagnosis.  Thanks to you all keeping her in your thought and prayers.

    Well they are back from the Mayo.  Diagnosis is MS.   Meredith is currently in denial as I understand.  The next step will be determining what type of meds they will try.  Thanks for you prayers and vibes!!!  Keep her in your prayers as she continues down the path of dealing with her diagnosis.

     Sheesh, I don't blame her. I can't even imagine getting a diagnosis like that. Continued good thoughts for her.
