Brutus needs thoughts

He ate tonight!!!  And, held it down!!!!!! 

I offered him I/D but he wasn't impressed.  He gave it a sniff, then turned his back to me & sat down.  I had a feeling that he would respond that way (he's our only picky eater) so I brought along some chicken & rice.  He happily ate the chicken & rice.

I'm amazed at his stick-with-it-ness considering all he has been through over this last year alone. He has a major will to live, it seems.

He really does have a huge will to live.  He's been dumped off & left to starve.  He's been bounced off of a truck.  He almost died during heartworm treatment.  He's survived AIHA.  He recovered from a reaction to Vectra.  And now this.  He really does want to live, and we want him to have the chance to live.

 Good boy Brutus!  Keep up the good work buddy!

If he continues to improve, & his bloodwork looks ok, then he'll come home tomorrow evening.

I was so scared when I started reading this....I'm thrilled that things are looking up for Brutus and you! THANK GOD!

 Good grief, Brutus! Don't scare me like that. I had to hold my breath as I read - as fast as I could - through four pages until I found a good update. Whew.

Good boy, Bru-bear!!!  You're such a strong bupper!!  Hope you continue to feel better and better!

Egawd, I'm away from a computer for two days and come back to see this.  I'm beyond happy that Brutus is improving.  Amanda, you are an awesome dog mom.

Chicken and rice heals all....it was Talus' favorite and the vet techs thought someone
put their lunch in the dog fridge and not the people fridge...

Get home soon buddy...and stay away from stinky deer...

I was awya for the weekend and am just seeing this.  Holy cow, what a scare!  So glad Shooter & Cher didn't get as sick and extra glad Brutus has gotten so much better.  (((hugs))) all around.
