Good vibes needed (Joyce)

My BIL (the late DH's youngest brother) is in the hospital in New Mexico and it doesn't look good. It seems he has cancer that started in his colon and then went to his kidneys and liver so I'm waiting for the phone call to tell me when I have to book a flight to NM. I feel really bad for my SIL (the youngest of the four) because she'll have lost all three of her older brothers in less than three years. The last time I was there was when the middle brother died, five months after DH did. I was talking to my SIL and we were thinking that we really need to find a way to get together more often because the only time we see each other is when someone either dies or is about to die.

Wow Joyce -- can I adopt you as my sister-in-law? I just put a sticky up on my printer for your brother-in-law and sister-in-law. all my best prayers and good thots!! Deb's right -- Cancer seriously is the worst.

Thanks guys! I was just thinking that the last five or six times I was in NM it was because someone had died or was about to. It would be so nice to go and just cruise around Santa Fe or Taos instead. Haven't gotten *the call* yet, but I'm expecting it any day now.

Oh, Joyce, what a horrible situation for her in such a short period of time. I'm thinking there's some solace in the fact that SIL has you.

I'm very sorry to hear about your BIL. Cancer is just so evil. Good thoughts for him, whatever the outcome. Special supportive vibes to your SIL as she copes with the circumstances. Let her be surrounded in love and strength to share with her husband.

Joyce I am so sorry to hear about your BIL. Our prayers will be with you and your family. I pray that he is not in much pain and that your SIL will have the strength to get thru these next few weeks and months.

I'm so sorry to hear this Joyce. There's just no easy way to deal with this awful disease. My heart is with you during these difficult times.
