Prayers for my step daughter *Updated 04/05/10

Ginger, sending your step daughter my strongest vibes and praying for a good outcome. 

Well I don't know what a COIL is but still sending some thoughts and prayers her way.

The coils are used to fill the aneurysm to stop the blood flow to it.  It's a lot less invasive procedure than traditional surgery too.  And, less complications.

Well today is the day!  Because of some major system problems which I am right now the only person that is familiar with it, I didnt get to go to Tulsa today.   Hubby took her yesterday for pre-op  They will do an angiogram around 10:30 this morning and then if that doesnt have any surprises, they will do the Coil around noonish.  Spoke with her and Hubby last night, she is obviously scared but I told her this is what we have been working toward and praying for so.....   

Please say a prayer for her doctors today.   I will keep you all informed.

Sending lots of prayers for a successful surgery and recovery!

She's still got my continued prayers and best wishes for a successful surgery and recovery!

Just spoke with my hubby.   Veronica is in recovery, they did not do the Coil embolization today.   After the Angiogram they opted not to.  There are other options, he will call me tonight to let me know  what the next step is.  They will keep her over night and he seemed to think they would be coming home tomorrow .  That is where we are for now!  Thank you guys for all you love and support!

Veronica is supposed to have the "Clip" surgery on Monday March the 29 at 7:30 a.m. in Tulsa.  This is the surgery that was successful for Mr. Jackie (Charles).  Although his was an emergency situation where as hers is scheduled.  If you guys could keep us in your prayers on Monday as we travel and for Veronica's doctors.

I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers and will send out a few extra on Monday for a successfull surgery and recovery.

Well I am back.   Yesterday was a very long day.   We left home at 2:30 a.m. and drove to Tulsa.  Both Hubby and I came home last night.

The Doctor was pleased with the surgery.  It was a very long surgery, approx. 8 hours.  He was a bit concerned last night that she was so slow to respond when in recovery but by the time we got to see her in ICU he was pleased with her response.   She is not totally out of the woods yet but it was looking pretty good last night.  He did a version of an angiogram yesterday while he was still in and did a CTScan after he closed up.  Both looked good.   He was cautious but will do another full blown angiogram today and another CTScan today.   She will remain in ICU for 2-3 days and the 2-3 days more in a regular room.   Hubby was going to stay but decided to come back with me and go back to Tulsa on Wed or Thurs after she is moved from ICU.   We are waiting this morning to hear how she is doing, I will keep you all informed.
