I went out and got a little hand held blacklight for finding urine. I also got some spray to clean it. But it's still very bright out, so I can't check the entire house. I was able to pull the shades in the bedrooms and part of downstairs and wandered around with the blacklight.
The results are astounding. I can't even be mad I am so shocked! All the way around my bed has been marked. Seriously, all 3 sides. There are sprinkle pee (boy- gobie) and curve pee (girl, probably Lexi) ALL the way AROUND my bed. The corner's of both my kids' beds are marked with sprinkles. There is a sprinkle down the hall (as though he walked down the middle and did a half squat walk mark).
There is a big puddle downstairs where it was dark enough to see and a FRESH one courtesy of Darby. She hates going in the yard to pee and takes every opportunity she can to head down ther to pee.
So now I've decided a few things:
1. Gobie is demoted, if not both the girls, I can't decide. He is not allowed up on any of the furniture anymore.
2. Dog door is OUT. They will just have to ask to go out.
3. Gobie wears his Pshirt at all times except when pottying or in his crate.
4. Dogs are crated ALWAYS when I leave the house and at bedtime.
:( I Fully know this is behavioral and largely dominance issues. But still there is this part of me, which, I realize dogs don't give a hoot about, but I want to have a tantrum... "you guys have the best food, the best toys, the best care, never a bad hair day, fussed over, played with, walked, but you treat me like THIS? AAAAH!"
Ok but truly, I am amazingly calm. I killed my carpet shampooer a few weeks ago and I will have to go and get one tomorrow to deal with this and see if I can get it under control. I found a fresh pee spot (sprinkles) on a dog bed on the floor. I put up their regular crates instead of their small pen (Lexi will jump out of) and even tho these crates are mismatched and ugly, it's just going to have to be that way.
I do think Lexi wouldn't mark in the house if Gobie would stop/weren't here. He's about to be a farm dog though, if he keeps this up (just kidding!).
Did I mention I will never, EVER, EVER NEVER NEVER never have a terrier again? Males are kindof iffy at this point too! Grrrrr.
